That was three weeks ago. So...

I surely hope you weren't actually expecting cooperation and disclosure. That was a stall tactic to buy time so he could keep living the high life in Girona and maybe curry enough favor to go to the Giro and swan about. Too bad that plan backfired and he's been hiding out in his flat with the shutters drawn. He's been desperately reaching out to people trying to explain his version of events, but no one's listening.

On June 5th, he'll be in default of my lawsuit here in the U.S. and we'll move for summary judgement. Other avenues are also being pursued. Hopefully that story will be out soon.

Today is lawsuit default day. Any updates Lesli? Are you proceeding with the summary judgment and will you be able to enforce it in Spain? Hoping for some good news…..

Can not believe that someone could so glibly take that much money..or any amount really that wasn't yours...and enjoy living and spending it on themselves.

I really don't see how AB will expect to avoid jail time.

Hope we all hear some good news soon...it must be unreal to be dealing with this waiting game for Paul and Lesli...

Maybe AB knows he will do some jail time and figures it will be worth it. Must like taking communal showers

If that came to be and they tore him a new one, I would not feel sorry for him.

UCI-Overlord, maybe his nickname made him do it

I'm sure the justice system will toss out all other high profile cases for this one, especially one involving such a high profile sport which is on TV only in Europe. If I were you I'd buy a huge iron lung because if you dare hold your breath, it will come in handy.

Yes, its the first time its ever happened in cycling

You need to get out more, if you can't imagine someone would do that. AB won't spend a minute or second in jail, yanking peoples chain dumb enough to allow it to be yanked isn't a major crime compared to the rest of the judges docket. Those who were ripped off need to go sit a day or two in jail, they really need to be taught a lesson or two.

The legal system sucks but sometimes it works. I can breathe just fine.

What the heck is with you?

Just because you might have been the first 'forumite' doesn't mean you were granted the entitlement to sneer and proclaim your 'wisdom' about life.

No I do not need to 'get out more'. I've been around plenty and way more than you might ever guess.

There is nothing naive about my comment...my meaning that eluded you was that I never can believe humans can actually pull off such BS and not feel much sense of wrong or unethical about their actions.

If you thought more about your comments instead of trying to hone your 'superior' persona then you might actually contribute some intelligence.

That is my feeling about your posting...you are prone to 'attack the poster' and not address what is being said....or maybe that is exactly what you are intending.

also per your post EL C---
the 'iron lung' comment is way past good taste and propriety.
Maybe you should have been around in the days when tiny children and others actually had to be imprisoned in an iron lung to survive...it wasn't a pretty sight.

You should talk to Floyd. He was facing criminal charges and jail time for his fund. He could still go to jail if he does not pay the settlement off in three years.

running off with the Kimmage fund is not Aaron's only legal issue. I would not want to be in his shoes

I'm going to shelf my common sense and ask:

Do we have any actual evidence the rest of the fund was spent? Last I saw he claimed it was intact and being protected in some capacity, but that was three and a half weeks ago. I believe the total was in the ballpark of $64,000. Whatever the total, though, do we know it's actually been spent?

And Aaron, since I know you're reading this, I have offered before and will offer again: If it's just a tax liability matter like you originally claimed, it's a pretty small amount. Let me know what it is and I'll pay it myself to make this all go away. I dare you.

You should know AB isn't an American citizen, or did you forget that?

Floyd outright lied about this whole doping scenario and admitted it, hence his possible (not going to happen) jail charge (not going because he's attempting to pay it back or trying as opposed to avoiding the issue, jails have much bigger fish to keep in the tank, angle bracelet though is highly possible).

AB is going to hid in Canada or somewhere else, its not like he needs to be in the US to continue to be "involved in Pro Cycling" :D

PS: Not that I like the ****** in any way, OK he had a few funny one liners in his day.

So fraud, and failure to pay $74,000 in child support, is not a crime in Canada?

Cool

AB is obviously hoping McQuaid gets relected so he may have a future in procycling as a court jester in Aigle.

Due to him being the ONLY one with back dated child support I'm sure it will jump to the head of the line

He suckered people plain and simple, its the easiest con on the planet! Why are you so bent on a $74K fraud (which actually gave a bit to Kimmage), when there are corporations which are frauding billions? Or do you work for one of those corporations :D
