Interesting to see that it wasn't the men who stood up to Lance, but rather the women: Betsy, Juliette Macur, Emma O'Reilly.

Maybe the male cyclists OD's on estrogen after all those visits to gynecologists.

taking nothing away from the aforementioned...you are forgetting lemond and bassons, and kimmage and walsh (all men).

cheers.

I think what you guys are all missing (though I have not gone back to read all of it) is that the "interview" is already done.

Taped and edited and ready to air next week.

From yesterday:

@TheRaceRadio: Correction on the Oprah taping, it has not happened yet. They tape Monday.

I should have checked with him I guess. I thought they had already put it to bed.

Still, I expect it will be a whole lot of nothing.

While I expect a complete purring kitten approach, it would be great if:

- Lance takes Oprah downstairs to the Jersey den.

- Oprah asks the open-ended question: Weren't you supposed to return those Jerseys?

There is no appropriate response from wonderboy.

With one simple question, it all unravels:
- The ongoing nature of fraud
- The denial
- Using Oprah for the masquerade
- Living in the past
- No honesty to any level of admission

Lance should better go to "Beckmann". He deserves it.
With unannounced Kimmage, Seppelt and Werner Franke suddenly appearing out of the dark, going full ***.

High stress level, but good entertainment.

Wouldn't be surprised if Lance formed Oprah's questions and the whole plot.
Don't expect much from that. But I am always open for surprises.

Attempt to polish the image I guess, and very American it will be. Lance is a good actor.

PS
btw, hello Polish !

10chars....

Won't most of the 90 minutes be commercials and voice-overs by Oprah?
Oh the obligatory walkaround the house and perhaps even talk with the gf, upset with the bad promo and hate mail (have to suppose).
I am glad we got a chance to prepare our friends and families for a very lame interview, trying to make con man into family man.

Waiting for a clever twist to somehow escape ending at 50 in Vegas doing his laps in and round a large hotel fountain wearing a speedo. Would this interview net him a few million to be paid in his son's bank account, of which he is the financial guardian? Did someone scare him with pics of Floyd's residence, when the people turn against you and lawyer money runs out?

I did my part warning my surroundings, did you?

Wow, I was just looking at the Globe and Mail (One of Canada's two major daily newspapers) and they had a teaser on the top of the front page that lead to a full two pages in the center of section A on the upcoming interview.

That's some pretty hefty promotion going on.

Is that when Oprah asks the gf, "How does it feel to hang out with doughnut grease and have you ever complained about Lance's bedroom abilities"?

It really gets old when people post joke links under a different headline. Some people are on here to read relevant information and don't want to be constantly fooled into someone's humor link. Damn that gets old

Hadn't seen this before:

Shortly after the interview is aired papers are expected to be filed in a Dallas court on behalf of SCA Promotions, which is looking to reclaim more than $11m (£9m) from the 41-year-old. It will be the first of a number of cases to come to court.

If this is true, there has been no settlement with SCA yet.

Armstrong will not be paid for the interview, according to a statement released later by the network. It added that he will have "no editorial control" over the interview and that "no question is off limits". The network is jointly run by Winfrey's company and the Discovery Channel, which sponsored Armstrong's team between 2004 and 2007. The interview will be pre-recorded.

If this is true, he's not doing it for money. IMO, that raises the odds that he really will admit. As others have noted, he and his lawyers may have convinced themselves that he can do this without adding to the legal jeopardy he's now in.

You have to ask yourself, why is Onenut targeting a female audience?

I feel sick. I'm curious as all heck to find out what spin he can put on things, but, really, I can't contribute to O's ratings, web or otherwise.

Oh, is he getting paid for the interview? That'd be interesting to find out.

A rep for OWN said that he wasnt getting paid...

Im sure the rumours of the "confession" are going to attract more than just a female audience...

Just like he didn't get paid for the comeback - except for the millions of appearance fees.

Just like he didn't get paid by Livestrong - except for the millions in speaking/appearance fees that didn't flow through the charity but were paid directly to him.

Maybe he isn't getting paid for the interview, but he isn't doing it for nothing.

I'd love to see a selection of riders/staff from US postal/Disco to all be interviewed together at the same time, maybe like a presidential style debate - that would be fun.

Yes. Have Tyler, Floyd, Emma, Betsy all there and get the chance to ask him questions. That I would pay to see. The format with Oprah, no, I will not watch that at all.
