the lack of humour or smiley face in that post suggests to me your not being sarcastic, and hence dont understand that everyone else is being sarcastic, (apart from tff)

The lack of respect shown the greatest TdF champion EVER is..., well,.... I just can't find the words.

Yea, people like that who fail to see that Armstrong is greatness personified are a real mystery to me.

If everyone starts posting sarcastically, the Public Strategies folks will have no idea what to do.

How is lance the greatest ever?? Whatever riders he feared, he bought throughout his career. just look at how lucky he was in 2000 and 1999. I'm not denieing how great he was but not the greatest ever in my book.

He may be one of the best TdF riders, but definitely not the best, and far from the best grand tour rider.
Sure, Lance has done some impressive things. But he also was the first to introduce the "single goal season" which will be detrimental to the sport.

Yeah, I liked the way the leaked email from LA attorney talked about an internet forum of haters. Sounds like someone is lurking here to get an idea of the fan's vibe.

Agree with you Ryo.

Eddy was much more dominant, and his 11 grand tour victories will never be equaled.

I totally agree with SoCal!

Lance Armstrong will reach into his bag of courage and will fly up Tourmalet like he has a rocket in his *** (which he got from his bag of courage). Hey, they are not checking there for mechanical doping.

Detrimental? He put the TdF race on the map! Before him, most riders just rode their bike a lot and raced too many races and never excelled like he did. He showed what single minded determination can do. Before, it was like riders had ADD. They just went here and raced and went there and raced, and were just all willy nilly and unfocused. He also instituted the system of unwritten rules that it seems like nobody wants to follow anymore. Greatest. Cyclist. Ever.

Well, working in a hospital, I can name you half a dozen amateur cyclists who have done much more against cancer than any pro cyclist.

He never raced on the same team as Ullrich.

You really need to lay off the crack pipe, dude. Let's face it, the majority of Lance's popularity has more to to do to his overcoming cancer and raising funds for the fight against cancer. Eddie Mercx is the greatest cyclist ever and he has the winner numbers to prove it.

Awe please!!! Greatest ever??? How many classics has he won??? One, the world road championship. EM won 21, RdV won 11, Museeuw, Coppi, Raes, Hinault etc... Forget about it.

And putting the TdF on the map??? Only in the USA, which doesnt count for much in cycling!!

A great cyclist must be an all around cyclist.!!
