Check out how he claims "We have nothing to hide" twice repeatedly and then immediately folds arms.
The folded arms thing is hilarious - closed, defensive body language because you have nothing to hide??

Wow, the bleeding from the Armstrong's eyeball was cool! Can he make his head spin round too? Sky +ing ToC as it seems to be mysteriously moving around the schedules and I, too, want to hear what Maggy has to say

the womens football has overrun and gone to penalties.. could be a long wait

Thanks. I was up all night from this story, then slept through the Giro. Magnus Backstedt does the commentary for the ATOC on Eurosport - I really want to hear how he handles it. Plus he's my favorite race announcer.

The Harman quote was about Landis, not about the Giro.

Returning to something you said earlier, I think LA and JB should be put in a cage on
a French mountain (not le mont Ventoux) so every passing cyclist can urinate on them.

Bribery of foreign officials is illegal. Daimler just paid the DOJ $185M to resolve a bribery case.

Floyd claims to have detailed records that he has kept from his youth. How did he get this wrong? He claims Armstrong bribed the UCI to cover up a positive result at the 2002 Tour of Switzerland. Armstorng was not at the 2002 Tour of Switzerland.

This is from a story on the Cycling News home page.
"The UCI refuted "the allegation that a positive doping result by Lance Armstrong during the 2002 Tour of Switzerland was concealed after an agreement was reached between the American rider, his directeur sportif Mr Johan Bruyneel and the former UCI President, Mr. Hein Verbruggen."
Cycling's international governing body pointed out that Armstrong did not participate in 2002 Tour of Switzerland."

Gerard Vroomen, co-founder of Cervelo, says "If it turns out to be true, then in 5 years we can look back on this day as an excellent day. Short term pain, long term gain."

Backstedt agrees.

Should it have any? And I say this as being a Canadian myself.

Maybe what I'm trying to say is that I don't really understand the question.

Sorry. Right now this is a United States Cycling and United States doping situation, with Americans under American law. If the guys named have done something wrong, there can be penalties which have been explained by people who know more than me. If Barry was called as a witness, in the U.S., I don't know if he's subject to any punishment if he doped and admits it. He'd get early retirement, but as the case stands now, he might not have nearly as much to lose for coming clean as the American riders.

As has been said a trillion times before, Landis never directly states which year this happened in, but leaves clues that only someone deliberately attempting to make him look like an idiot could interpret as anything but referring to the 2001 edition. Which Armstrong won.

What if Floyd and all the others used the PEDs because they wanted to be as good as Lance is without them!

How bad is Armstrong injured?

You guys must be delighted about this because the last thing you want is for Armstrong to settle his disputes on the road. You don't want that.

Floyd has said he is not ashamed of doping in the least. He said more guys would admit to it if their names weren't dragged through the mud by the haters.

Now who could he be refering to?

If you guys agreed to have a more sophisticated approach to doping and not claim the likes of Armstrong are frauds and myths, then maybe he would admit to it.

But whilst you lot are spreading your hate around that's never going to happen.

Why don't you do what Floyd says and grow up?

Anything of substance to add before you're banned?

You're right. I don't. I want him to retire from cycling for good after being exposed as a doper, and to take Bruyneel with him. And I want him to take Riis and Ferrari and Valverde and a whole bunch of other folks, too.

Stitches to the arm and face. Torn shorts with road rash.

I've never been happy to see another human being crash or have injuries. I'm really glad to see him out of the race today, for a lot of reasons, but it's a shame that he and other riders got hurt.

The dispute was settled at the Tour last year, tosser. Now wipe that ranch dressing from your chin.

Why do you not want him to ride this year? If he loses again, which he probably would, he won't be coming back. Why don't you want him to ride, as most fans of the sport would like to see? Why do you love all this scandal and smear instead?

Ah. Gotcha. And I didn't take offense, so no worries and no need to apologize.

I suppose that since he was under the employ of a US registered team at the time of the accusations that he would be subject to the same scrutiny, but that's just an educated guess at best.

Interesting take on it though - seeing Barry as the exception that might be able to leverage the situation differently. Did not think of that.

Because we all love cancer.

You don't speak for fans of the sport. You speak for fans of Lance. Huge difference.
