Floyd is not stupid. Whats been released thus far is not everything. There’s a lot more to come along with hard evidence. LA/GH and co. won’t really know how to defend themselves as outright denial will be followed up with a photo. They can only take George Hincapie’s approach: Which is to say that you have been a honest cyclist. That’s about it.

Cool! I hope he has a diary too and that it mentions me in the 1990s when I had to tell him 'out of the way, stoopid fokker' in that mtb race. Yeah, he was almost done changing a flat by the time I caught him!

Who knew that skinny kid would shake shiat up like he did!??

Wait, didn't she assist with LA's books? Ah, I see....

Listen, if the notion that there will be a Federal inquiry into the use of Federal (USPS) dollars to pay for a doping regiment at the USPS team, this is checkmate.

Corroboration from other riders today? Nah.
Corroboration once a Fed is asking the question? Gotta think Yes.

All thats left is the plea bargaining.

Remember - all Tiger did was hit a tree and suddenly it was raining bimbo's..

Tiger got creamed because his image was false - Lance will suffer the same, and on top of that the public will find out that his athletic achievements were also false.

My point here was not that...it was that Woods had been known way beforehand what a scumbag he was by various mags...they agreed to not let the cat out of the bag if he did covers...men's health was one...my point is the media will play this for their own interest...hey, I hope you're right...but my feeling is that this is going away and real fast unless someone else comes forward...

Hilarious!

The American public is much more sensitive to sexual delinquency than they will be about the idea of guys re-introducing their blood into their systems in a foreign country while doing an obscure sport. I think there will be much more significant tremors overseas and within professional cycling. But they all pretty much know these stories anyhow.

StrongArm also did a lot 'o' hoes. Like that parlour game "whack-a-mole".

Bingo.

How these folks respond will be a key point when the Feds question them, ie, were you lying then or are you lying now?

You know what happens when you lie to the Feds and they can tag you up?

@ the comment about ex-Mrs. Armstrong... Does a civil-divorce court NDA/Confidentaility agreement end up in the gutter once the Feds take the floor? Does anyone really think she will contempt herself or perjure herself for her ex-husband?

Not this lad.

That very well could be the million dollar question.

I have a feeling LA will survive this in the U.S. As for Europe, I'm not all that sure. It really depends on whether Landis has a smoking gun. Like fingerprints on the gun used in a murder type evidence and blood stains from the dead body on the accused. I'm not sure what he's revealed so far is that overwhelming.

No direct mention of much other than his word, and some training logs, diaries.

No need to mention the photos now. In fact don’t mention the photos. These are for the court case or if and when Landis is about to hang. You can’t release the trump card to early on. You need about a month of Lance denials and then slowly drown him in his own lies. You never play every card you have upfront. This is just round 1. There is much more to come. Do you think Floyd released those emails about Lance and Bruyneel without having much to back it up with? Give it time.

Interesting discrepency....

JV said Floyd rode the 2005 tour without any extra blood during his talk with frankie, but in the letter Landis admits to riding the tour while getting two transfusion.

I have a link to the IM here............. where does it mention your 'discrepancy'?

Cyclevaughters: frankie - hey - thanks for talking the other day

FDREU: no problem, where are you
<snipped for brevity>
Full IM here.

Can I ask where did you get that quote from?
I have done a quick search and can't find it.

I know he has denied taking testosterone during the 06 Tour, but admitted taking HGH!

that's the point - he's denying the one test that came back positive. Why, when you are attempting to "come clean" and "clear you conscience" would you continue to claim the 2006 test was false, even though you admit to doping at that time?

I can only think of two reasons:

1. Avoiding perjury or
2. Avoiding lawsuits from the people who gave to your defense.

You could very well be correct. That would be the smart way to play it. I am not confident in FL's intelligence. Brave, yes.

All for lying/perjury/false statements (for the atheletes at least).

I'm actually struggling looking for an athelete in the US who has served time for using a PED. I'm sure it must have happened, but the guys who have gotten the most press as "dopers" in various sports here don't seem to have faced any criminal charges for it that I can find.

What were they lying to the feds about?

Talking about the leaked e-mail, Landis said, "I would have preferred that it had stayed private and the result of me coming clean (with this information) would be for the purpose of better doping controls so future generations of riders would not have to make the same decisions I had to make."

Landis went on to say that Armstrong had heard about previous e-mail exchanges between Landis and USA Cycling officials regarding his claims of doping. In an attempt to silence Landis after the Tour of Gila, Landis claims Armstrong called Dr. Kay, Landis' good friend and title sponsor of his current team, and made veiled threats about revoking Dr. Kay's doctor's license for misdiagnosing Landis' mental health.Landis' response was to say he should take aim at Landis himself and not his friends.

Landis replied to Armstrong via e-mail requesting that he not involve his friends but instead attempt to resolve the matter in court. In an e-mail sent May 5, Landis wrote:

"As you certainly know I've been living with a very complex situation for the last four years and have been, for my own sake and for the sake of my former friends and peers, misleading the public about the truth about performance enhancing drug use in cycling about which I have first-hand knowledge. My only goal in enlightening the public and the press regarding these matters is to clear my conscience and thereafter be able to sleep at night.
