One could argue that concealing a crime is an act in furtherance of a conspiracy, which would invalidate the spousal privilege (which permits a spouse to testify about matters that occurred during the marriage).

amazing! I feel abit like when I was live on computer watching AIG crash and unfold by the moment...real time unfolding bull****ting...strongarm must be spooked...maybe Floyd does have some real backup stuff...or maybe they just got word someone else is coming forward...

JB to LA via race radio: "Lance...time to bail and fast...the *** has rolled..."

Well if the closet back in Austin is full of the good stuff then I’d want to get home and clear it out.

I wonder if Anna is looking under the bed now.

Maybe young Luke had a peak and said “Daddy why do you have a refrigerator in the closet?”

over a 1000 posts and so far noone has said anything they couldn't have been predicted to say before. the anti-lance boys have already figured this all out. the fanboys are immune to any evidence against their man. lance, et al. deny deny deny. mcquaid says lance's donations couldn't possibly have swayed their opinions. and on and on...

the only thing that's changed is that floyd finally fessed up, which he should have done years ago. unfortunately, he is the only one that's going to suffer for this. where is he going to get the money to defend himself against all of the lawsuits coming his way? omerta will destroy him while creating a huge distraction for everyone else. and making a lot of lawyers a lot of money.

One other question is whether or not those rules apply in Spain and France as the crimes in question occurred there and not in the US. US law has no bearing in the case because the PED's were transferred in Spain and France.

Edit: I am fairly certain the rules for testimony of a spouse in court is different in every country.

thoughtforfood is right...there is nothing left to sue and a civil case is just what they do not want...methinks this was Floyd's kamikazee moment and god bless him for it...

Just reviewing some things, seems you can't sue a Federal witness....try again.

Good points by Colm Murphy.

Agree with others that Floyd may be bankrupt. I hope he can start anew either way. I imagine there are a lot of local and regional races and rides and LBS’s that would be happy to have him make an appearance, and a lot of local hard core bike fans to see him and support him.

How long until some people start saying he was “rightfully” the 2006 Tour winner, that’s another story.

No need to mention the photos now. In fact don’t mention the photos. These are for the court case or if and when Landis is about to hang. You can’t release the trump card to early on. You need about a month of Lance denials and then slowly drown him in his own lies. You never play every card you have upfront. This is just round 1. There is much more to come. Do you think Floyd released those emails about Lance and Bruyneel without having much to back it up with? Give it time.

Why do I find myself wishing that Will would crawl out of whatever hole he is in and lead the charge against Lancey Poo.

Total slime against total slime.

Future of American Cycling

So if what has been alleged by Landis can be proven, where does that leave american cycling?

We potentually lose the following riders:

Lance
Levi
George Hincapie
DZ

Plus the potential of stained reputations of C. Horner, T. Phinney, and many others. Essentially an entire generation of riders plus one or two of the "new" clean generation.

So what is the future then - for riders like Tejay van Garderen & Peter Stetina?

Greg Lemond was right - he needs to be the new president of the UCI or USA Cycling...

Floyd needs a real job at this point...time to move on...I might be able to get him a steady with USPS...as I am a mailman...

The irony in all this that all these guys have blasted Landis for being a Liar and a Cheat for the last few years, and now they stand by him.

There isn't enough for criminal charges unless further evidence shows up. I could be wrong, but that's how it looks to me. Even the Verbruggen cover up isn't a case yet, though I'm sure it will be ground for investigations.

This will be enough ammo for every country to turn every cycling bus inside out, so I expect quite a few raids.

How do you respect someone who exhausted all his appeals, and then told the truth?
