why we kidding ourselves...only interesting thing about this TdF will be to watch geraint thomas riding for himself despite SKY orders

This is exactly what I’m waiting for. When will FROOME attack to get that time back? Will Thomas follow? What happens if Movistar attacks? Who will cover the attack?

im low key hoping for thomas to be like "f*** it,im 32,im not letting this chance go through my fingers" which could potentially started some hilarious situations on the road...only problem is he is very likely to have a classic off day and lose like 5 minutes

but if i had to endure another sky win,at least it would be thomas this time

does anyone root for historical double finally getting conquerred? :D

No sir. Let the holy name endure......

Something actually just broke in my brain trying to compare Pantani vs Froome climbing up a mountain.

I expect nothing.
Still be watching though :)
I expect the same as the previous years, which was about the same as in 2000-2005. If something meaningful happens I'll be pleasantly sirprised and watch the recap this evening.

Because of the team dynamics at Sky and Movistar, I actually do expect something to happen. Not that Thomas will attack Froome, but if someone at Movistar goes and Froome can't follow, would Thomas take up the chase if he's feeling good or shepherd Froome to the line (assuming Poels has been dropped at this point?). Same goes for Movistar -- if Froome takes off, would Landa or Valverde drop Quintana?

reading about froome winning another gt being something mean between Shakespeare's tragedy and cosmic injustice is so hilarious. ;)

Good to see Alaphilippe back in a breakaway in the Tour. He was fun to watch in 2016 and soo close to winning a stage

Normally would think there's no point in trying to get in a break from the gun but with Col de Croix Fry coming up quickly it's either now or never if you're not a climber.

Going to take a nap and hope for some fireworks.
