All that is required is that every action, regardless of how tenuous, is analysed until a line of dots suddenly appears.....or doesn't.
Being injected by a doping doctor, and subsequently having a dramatic increase in performance, is equally worthy of discussion and suspicion.
As per usual clinic practice, until LeMond can prove that this suspicious chain of events was legitimate, he must remain under suspicion.
It's the way of the clinic......
Don't you love it?
Hugh Januss said:OK then let's compare "lines of dots" vs lengths of career and subsequent passage of time for bad stuff to come out.
LeMond
Career 14 years.
Time since retirement 19 years.
Line of dots. .
Wigans
Career 13 years.
Time since retirement 0 years.
Line of dots. ..................
Armstrong
Career 13 years + another ill advised 3 years.
Time since retirement 2 fun filled years.
Line of dots (prior to USADA neatly joining them together) .................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

No stone unturned.
Just one more point.

RR kicked the thread off again with a defensive post following 2 weeks of no activity on it. I am at a bit of a loss to see why as there didn't seem to be any need. It was the content of that post that has drawn discussion again about the injections.

andy1234 said:That's easy. RRs hourly alarm had gone off, notifying him to mention Lance Armstrong in at least one form of social media.
This thread was just collateral damage.

Hugh Januss said:He linked to an interview which seems to have been posted yesterday, so I don't understand the defensive post reference, and Andy and oldfart are certainly on about something.![]()
peterst6906 said:He started it like this:
"Armstrong pushed an organized campaign to smear Greg. One of his inventions was that some Iron that Greg took was EPO....Nonsense"
At this point, who cares what Armstrong says or has ever said anymore. Certainly most of the general public seem to have realised the value of his trash over the years.
There was no need to defend LeMond in an inactive thread. He could have just left it alone, or just posted the interview without any additional commentary.

There was no need to defend LeMond in an inactive thread. He could have just left it alone, or just posted the interview without any additional commentary so that it's an ongoing and complete record of information.
As to oldfart and andy, in terms of the general trends in the clinic, I can see where they are coming from. Change the riders name and the attacks would be very thick and very fast, irrespective of any previous evidence of cleanliness. In terms of the underlying message of their posts, I think they are mainly taking a swipe at the clinic culture more than anything.
Big Doopie said:Man I would have loved to see lemond on epo just once.
That would haven been totally nuts.
95 vo2 on freakin epo. Holy crap!
He would have left Delgado and fignon 10 mins behind on l'alpe...
Oh...uh...wait a minute...
Too bad he was just one honest, good kid with a bunch of anxieties.
