A Thelma and Louise ending maybe? :p

Yeah, that's what I thought. Or maybe some South American military dictator would take them in. Eh, probably not, there hasn't been too many of those lately.

i guess greg new what was coming, i would not be surprised if radioshack is pulled

I would be. There is nothing in the article in question that would make them pull out. These sort of allegations have been going around for years in one form or another. For GL it is the same old Lance slam that happens every tour. LA will just continue his denials as he has been consistent with in the past. There has not been anything alleged that would remotely have a chance of standing up in court.

Lemond should just take a powder, grab himself a pizza and settle down to watch some good racing. His whining is almost as bad as the plastic trumpets at the World Cup

And your statement is based on which facts? Will you enlighten us with your inside knowledge about every top contender for this year's Tour being on drugs. We'd love to know.

Haven't been following cycling for years and years and been let down by having heros who turn out to have feet of clay yet have you?

I'm a Spaniard also, and sadly not many people talk about him being probably doped. Probably more criticism in my country would help to clean the sport. Maybe Contador is not a doper, but even with clear proofs such as in Valverde's case, one can read ridiculous defenses of Valverde in mainstream media.

It doesn't help that so many people, including journalists, repeat the stupid mantra about "no one knowing why Valverde was actually banned".

I'm looking at you, Iván Gutiérrez.

or maybe he's just a washed up bitter ex pro.

Either way, he's made himself look a tiny bit stupid.

Damn Greg you got this one spot on. Oh wait, that was LA on the podium with the rest of the Shack team after they won the team competition. Bitter man.

Armstrong on a podium with a team; yeah that's his dream and his goal. I'll bet even Greg was embarrassed by the 28 jersey and the shameless promotional effort by LA while "celebrating" the team win. Now we know why it was so important to take team GC! I predicted drama at the close but I thought it would be on the bike and make for a Hollywood ending to his career, at least in the script that is in Lance's head.

The 28 black J was not only a great PR in the fight against cancer, but an incredible up yours towards LeMond and his pal T-Shirt Pro Flandis. Chapaue RS and Lance. I love seeing LeMond and Flandis with mud in faces.

Yes, it was truly brilliant in it's range: cancer, Lemond and Landis all at once.

I especially appreciated the subtle use of black as a further up yours to Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine. Man those Shack guys are clever and don't miss a beat.

I gotta say the adds that RS and Livestrong have done this year are epic. I loved the one for Livestrong with the semi animatron Lance with the Brian Eno soundtrack. Amazing stuff, even the haters on this forum should appreciate the RS PR.

Was GL really that far off? It's obvious that GL was referring to the effect that the revelations about the Federal criminal investigation will have on Armstrong when he predicted that he would either not start or DNF. And it's also pretty clear that Armstrong was affected (negatively) by those revelations - his own lawyer has said as much. It turned out to be not quite enough to make him quit, but I bet it was pretty close, so I don't think GL was far off at all.

How can you have my #2 Idol as your avatar and speak glowingly of Mr. LeMond. Oh yeah your avatar is approved by Mr. LeMond. A totally clean cyclist Mr. Coppi.

You are such a toad! LA clearly manipulated this fiasco. If LA and Co. had gone to the commissaires and asked permission to wear the black kit I think they would have gone along with it since the kit was supposedly worn to call attention to 28 million people with cancer. Even the UCI is going to donate the fines the team will have to pay to a Swiss cancer fund.

However, I think LA had another motive because of the way he went about it. What that motive might be is beyond me. I was ****ed off knowing LA orchestrated this act, it embarrassed me as a fellow American. He spat on the Tour organizers and the Commissaires. How embarrassing.
