Surprise surprise.. Guardini wins the opening stage of Tour de Langkawi. That's his 19th stage victory in the race.

In his first Tour de Langkawi he won five stages, Marcel Kittel won one stage. Look where they now are. ;)
Although I'm a big fan of Guardini I'm not trying to pretend these results matter at all :D

Petr Vakoc wins Classic Sud Ardeche.

Nice win!

For some reason, Vakoc somehow reminds me of Sagan. Not exactly a twin, but perhaps his riding style and his body build is somewhat similar. I'm expecting big wins from him in the future

... and I'm happy to have him on my CQ team :D

And in Sud-Ardeche, great performance from 21 year-old OC Eiking. Long solo break, great style on the bike, nice.

And the Drome race is on today in France - More of a sprinters profile and give a sneaky chance to Mezgec.

Punchy sprinters may have a chance (last years 1-2 was Dumoulin-Felline) but I very much doubt it will be a sprint. The profile is quite deceptive, there are loads of short, steep and narrow city ascents on the "flat" circuit and the hills towards the end are quite steep as well.

Vakoc took the victory in France again at La Drôme Classic. He is the first rider to win both races in the same year!

Vakoc is showing really good form so far this year (which is nice for my CQ Ranking game team). It will be interesting to see what he can do in bigger races

Vakoc could do really good in Strade Bianche...ettix will be strong with him and Stybar

Excellent point. It will be interesting to see how the new threat of Vakoc effects the tactics for other teams. Great for ettix to have another card to play especially after disappointing in the bigger races this weekend.

Excited to see what Vakoc can do this season. strade Bianchi will be a real test. Will he do the Ardennes? Reckon a race like Amstel would suit him very well.

He's definitely doing the Ardennes - supposed to be a focus for him. Etixx could possibly have the top trio with he, Dan, and Alaphilippe.
