Bjorg Lambrecht hold on to the yellow jersey today and won the Ronde de l'Isard. Strong performance for a 'neo U23' rider.

Is there a topic here to discuss U23 races?

The season's pinnacle, the An Post Ras, started today. I might do a guide/preview later. The first stage was won by a Dutch kid with an outstanding name, Taco van der Hoorn (Join-S De Rijke). He attacked a select group of 13 with 3 km to go and held them off by a couple of seconds. He also takes the yellow jersey.

Well talking of highlights, does anyone have video of the GP de la Somme? Bouhanni losing to McLay merits some visuals.

Who is this McLay? I've never heard the name before

2nd year pro, had some decent results as a U23 rider (with Lotto Belisol team), I think he won a stage in the Tour de l'Avenir two years ago.

Probably most notable up until now for a hilarious slalom through the field to win a sprint a few weeks ago in a minor race.

Last year he took a win attempting to lead Hutarovich out in that Gambian early season race. Had some good placings in minor French one-day races and the team liked him enough to take him to Paris-Nice where he had a top-10 on the uphill sprint won by (I think) Cimolai. This year he looks like one of the chief rivals to Bouhanni in France. And then there's that gif above from winning the GP de Denain a few weeks ago.

Wout van Aert wins the prologue of the tour of Belgium, beating Tony Martin by 2 seconds

Incredible result. Shame Mathieu van der Poel is not here, would have been nice to see this race being contested by the two biggest names in cyclocross :D

I am sure Lars van der Haar would not like the post above.

By the way this is probably the one road race with the highest number of cyclo-cross specialists in it.

I spent 10 minutes looking for a thread dedicated to Belgium and I'm supposed to be working...

Giro d' Italia, I guess that nobody cares that much. It fits your agenda perfectly!

No, we all love the Tour of Belgium because it's a stage race, remember? We only hate stupid classics like the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix or Il Lombardia!

When I learned this morning in the newspapers that Wout had outitted Martin in the prologue I was so glad I wished to share it on CN on the fitting thread. I honestly thought it existed. How else could it be? The Tour of Belgium is not a lesser known race, it's a race with a history that dates back more than a century behind with some of the greatest riders in history in the palmares. I'm baffled every day by this forum and it's even more staggering that ou think I'm just "on an agenda".

The Tour of Belgium is worth its own thread but everyone is kinda focused on the Giro so it slipped through the cracks. Why not start the thread yourself?
