With around 35 to the finish these have 2 minutes: Nibali, Pellizotti, Pozzovivo (Bahrain Merida), Nairo Quintana, Gaudu (Groupama FDJ), Cataldo, Brambilla (National Italian), Hermans (Israel Cycling Academy), Dunbar (Sky Team) Pauwels (Team Dimension Data), Dancers, Cattaneo, Gavazzi, Masada, (Androni Sidermec), Barguil (Team Fortuneo Samsic), Santaromita, Tizza (Vini Fantini Nippo), G. Martin, Meurisse (Wanty Groupe Gobert).

Not sure if Cataldo is still in the group?

He is not. The world famous Bahrain sprinters will contest the win.

Crazy to think, but of those three Nibali is probably the best sprinter :D

Nibali attacked 3km to go caught at the flamme rouge. Moderate optimism on the rise for Innsbruck.

I don’t think he is particularly quick. His espoirs wins were ranged attacks. Maybe I’m wrong, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him contest a sprint.

Pedersen is due to miss the Worlds due to being 'too tired'. I see, I see.

Imagine the Danish team on a suitable course if everybody is in form in the near future. Already last year, they were deciding the race in the finale, but they are better now and will probably be even better next year.

I think we could get our first world champion in the next years.

We definitely have decent chances with the current crop of riders: Kragh Pedersen, Mads Pedersen, Magnus Cort and Michael Valgren. All Worlds riders and can win on their day.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is... now.

Who? I don't think Sunweb is looking into performing a fusion between C. Pedersen and Kragh Andersen. :p

And look who got so close to scoring another point in the Most Important Race of them All.

Come to think of it, Fuglsang might be the most under the radar rider for the road race.

You also have guys like Kreuziger and Chernetski, who both have a strong climber on their team that could work for them.

I wouldn't call the World Championship a lesser known race. :p

Wonderful race in Belgium today. Great entertainment for at about an hour.

And congrats to Pedersen. That win took legs, solid tactics and real guts.
