This is so backwards. It's the Greek who needs a good talking to. Putting your hands on someone at 60 km/h in full prep towards a sprint is much more dangerous than a slap to the head. I don't condone of the slap, but all fingers of blame should be pointed towards someone, and it ain't Van Gils.
Ah, OK, I didn’t know that the Greek man did something like that… That’s bad, and even illegal, because he mustn’t endanger others, with his hands off the handlebar.

I hope all involved will visit the after race/after season party, and become friends again. ;)

Latest news: no head injury but he suffered a collapsed lung which apparently doesn't allow him to fly back home. A doctor will get there from Italy and figure out what to do.

He wasn't even supposed to ride this race. We had lunch together before Giro dell'Emilia and he thought his season was over. Then the Bardiani DS spotted him in the crowd of San Luca and told him from the team car he'd be leaving for Turkey in a few days...

Truly a nice guy. I hope he can recover fully and find a contract for next year.
Ugh, if I were him I’d be pissed off about how that unfolded—or I would after I could breath comfortably.

I couldn't bring myself to get up at 5 am so I just watched the final hour of the Japan Cup now. I never watched the race before. They seemed quite unlucky with the weather. It was good to see Valgren looking good but I guess he wasn't really on top of his game and it was the three strongest that made it to the end. Sheehan backing his PT performance up was also interesting to see. I wish that Alaphilippe next year will ride like a rider who believes he can win instead of going solo basically from lap 1 in a race like this.

And Costa, what a season. Today, nobody can fault him for playing games.

WHY do the not show the kilometres to go live in Tour of Turkey? That should absolutely be mandatory.

They did briefly show it... and switched right back to the useless "How long have they been riding for?" graphics...

Any graphics team who opts for that nonsense should be forced to do the Cinnamon Challenge!
