Just saw the final 4km of Stage 2 circuit Sarthe (or whatever its called now) and I don't understand this trend of narrow twist downhill finals in French's races. Absurdly dangerous finale with a big crash, 70kmh in twisty Road through villages with traffic islands.

Not really the smartest move from the other "big" teams to let Healy and Thomas in the break. 2 of the strongest guys riding there.

I don't think they'll catch them.

Dversnes! Extremely strong to bridge up to the front on the last loop and he had to work to catch Kamp, Healy and Ferron in the last two kilometers.

Kamp takes GC.

Is the Tour of Turkey taking place this year or has it been cancelled because of the earthquake earlier in the year like Antalya? I can't see it in the calendar.

According to PCS, it's on from 8/10 - 15/10. It's a 2.1 race now, so if you were looking under the ProSeries races, that might be why you couldn't find it.

Alarm bells are ringing, Jan Christen and Antonio Morgado are in the break. Roller skater Mathys Rondel is too.

Morgado is in between somewhere I think, not in the break.

EDIT: chasse patatte, and Christen dropped now too.

Coming up tomorrow is the cheese race Paris-Camembert with cheesy and cheeky philosopher Guillaume Martin and many other French guys on the start list as well as the Giro di Sicilia with Damiano Caruso as the defending champion and Alvaro Hodeg returning to the pro peloton 18 months after his last race.
