There's a descent with 5km to go (according to the road book) so that makes sense to neutralise the race from there. Shame though, but it's February and no one wants a nasty crash at this time of year.

Sketchy run-in. Made good sense to neutralise it as they did, but even in good weather it'd be too much.

Best decision would have been to put the finish line somewhere else. But of course, then they wouldn't have gone along the coast line at the finish. Did anyone notice?

Those plastic traffic barriers were completely unsafe. How hard would it to be to just move them for a few hours? No wonder riders are complaining.

Van der Sande has been dropped, despite help from the cars and a sticky bottle (or two). It's quite windy.
