Why is Le Cerf dropping to the QS development team to ride this race ? This should not be allowed.

It's far from the first example of a WT rider guest-riding for the devo team in a cat.1 race.

It's when they start doing it in cat.2 races, I think it becomes ridiculous.

he apparently asked for it himself, as he enjoyed the race last year, and wants to give it another go. But yeah, personally I also think internal transfers in that direction should be limited to riders coming back from injury, for example.

The way I see it, if the WT would be allowed to ride a race, I see no problem in WT riders guest-riding for the devo team.

You would need to define what counts as an injury severe enough if you wanted to make that a rule.
A "hasn't race for X weeks" rule could probably work.

But yeah, in the end, currently WT- and Devo teams can line up the same riders in .1 races anyway (4+2 or 2+4), and as long as this is the case, it of course doesn't make sense to implement other restrictions for those.

I'd assume as well that if any teams used this to get around say the WT team limit or something or otherwise exploited it then the rule would likely change real quick.

What the heck happened (in Provence) this morning with so many DNS? and DNF? Riley Sheehan was handily placed on GC. Illness?
Larry Warbasse talked about this in the The Cycling Podcast the other day. Because of the cold weather and riding through open farm fields they apparently eat a bit of cow dung off the road which leads to people getting stomach bugs so there were several riders who had been throwing up during the night and didn't start and others who couldn't finish the last stage.

Approaching Toulon, the remnants of the break are getting caught one by one. Unfortunately for @tobydawq, Vauquelin has crashed out of the race.

Israel are leading the pack, they should be the favourites with Woods.
