The ongoing Tour d'Eure-et-Loir. is only a 2.2 race (rather disparagingly called little sh*t races by some) but still on stage 1 they managed to cover nearly 170 km at a rate of 44.85 km/h. Not bad going.

Gleb Syritsa (the man handy to have when moving a piano) wins at Langkwai. Vino will be a happy man ...and glad of the UCI points.

PCS is saying Malucelli ahead of Penalver and De Kleijn.

I'm gonna wait for photofinish.

Unfortunately, there was a big crash at the finish.

Today, (Monday), it looks like another Merlier versus Philipsen sprint duel, but lots of teams to still confirm line ups.

Edit - add - Girmay and De Lie added and UAE here too so maybe not so much a duel.

Binche - Chimay - Binche / Mémorial Frank Vandenbroucke
From the Roadbook -
Art. 22 Sprint (au Km 49) :
Un prix en nature (en produits de Chimay) sera offert au vainqueur
du sprint disputé au Km 49. Le lauréat est dans l’obligation de termi-
ner l’épreuve pour recevoir le prix.
Googling translation -
Art. 22 Sprint (at Km 49): A prize in kind (in Chimay products) will be offered to the winner of the sprint at Km 49. The winner is obliged to complete to receive the prize.

There's a nice photo of beer and cheese from Chimay in the roadbook so I'm guessing the prize is something along those lines. Cheers!

and with the weather prediction of some strong winds so could it be interesting.

Poole seems quite fast at the end of a hard effort, was the same in the Vuelta, it will serve him well.

He had several months out after Tirreno with a broken elbow and a couple of surgeries to deal with so good to see him get his first win after a tough go of it.

That is ambitious planning by the organisers. Move the whole race from peninsular to Malaysia to Borneo for the last two days. I note on the Friday the stage is earlier but that will take a lot of logistical planning.

Kristoff with a really well timed victory

Viviani was like 5th(?) after being Ben Turner seemingly risked his life sticking him in prime position with an incredible leadout. Just bring back pensioner Cippolini and stick him on the wheel and he wins that.
