Binche one of these Belgian races getting hurt from the amount of big sprinters at the start tho. Was not an exciting edition at all cause it's too controlled. Too many big teams that want a sprint and even teams like Cofidis or Arkea who probably can't win but are only busy with the points (understandably).

Chapeau De Lie (timed to perfection) and the team did well too. De Lie has been ill so good to see him back. Philipsen ended up going too early but an unexpected Frentin from Cofidis a 3rd spot.

It's flat and Groenewegen should be a fav if it's a bunch sprint.

I turn my back to these guys for like, five minutes, and Joan Bou and Company gets over 2:30... (it's down to just over 2 minutes now), with less than 40 Ks to go...

Did the guy commentating just say that they'll be showing Binche-Chimay-Binche today?

He has had quite the season despite illness ruining both Ronde de l'Isard, Giro Next Gen and the World Championships for him.
Plus budgetary reasons keeping him out of l'Avenir. I can't recall him ever falling ill in his two junior seasons, perhaps a sign of (too) low fat % and thus a lesser immune system?

Hope he gets a shot in Emilia, but it falls on the same day as Piccolo Lombardia, so fat chance.

It seems it will be quite windy there this morning, unsure about the direction.

It should be Thijssen vs Groenewegen

Weather forecast for Leeuwrden today is a easterly strong wind and the chance of a shower so it might not be a straght forward bunch sprint.
I see on PCs that it took only 5km for echelons, it's on baby!:)

Jez Cox did indeed say that and immediately after said Leeuwarden was in Belgium.
