Laporte has been tactically one of the best riders the last 3 years, lord forbid he make one mistake in a Mickey mouse race so a rider who has been out for 18 months can win and get a contract

Laporte very gracious

So happy for Taco. Also Krijsen looks mightly strong.

Good race also for Roel Van Sintmartensdijk, who has been great in races with echelons this year. Good powerhorse in the making.

Bascically, Reinders and Laporte the two fastest in the group played poker. In saying that, I doubt it would have made a difference.

Great for Taco. He was very open on de Rode Lantaarn Podcast about his doubts and insecurities after his heavy crash at the Ronde van Vlaanderen '23 that impacted him heavily, most of all mentally. He wasn't sure if he would ever ride a race again.

Philipsen, De Lie, Girmay and big Mads Pedersen, what more could you ask for?

Edit- make that big Mads Pedersen's younger brother ... Martin.

Pretty sure it's still Denmark where I am...

The guys racing in Malaysia would probably also be quite surprised to learn that they're apparently in Germany.
De Bod, Pellaud, and Poole have just under three minutes.
Just under 70 Ks to go.
Coverage starts in about half-an-hour.

There are other people in the world than you and the riders riding in Malaysia who are not in Germany.

Were you surprised to learn you're in Germany?

And in Malaysia De Bod has gone solo, and has 20 seconds.

De Kleijn repeats.
One of the other Tudor riders appears to have crashed earlier on.
And now he's being interviewed by one of the other Tudor guys...

Why did Harold Lopez get a 20-second penalty? That will be very costly in terms of UCI points for Astana. 2nd in a 2.Pro race would have been his best result.
