I think they thought Aular would be the strongest, and then you end up with a couple of other riders in the top-7 as well. Not too shabby, I think Aular under normal circumstances would be the strongest here

I just rewatched that crash. Not looking good for Juanpe, Van Gils and the Astana rider. Juanpe mightve hit the barrier with his head really hard and Van Gils & the Astana rider go full into with their legs and then over it.

EDIT: Juanpe is ok given the circumstances, no serious injuries. Van Gils finished so he's ok too. Not sure about the Astana rider.

What do you mean? Kron scored 16 points, while I didn't have any riders in the top 10. I had Barceló last year, but I dropped him because he's from Aragon.

Huh? I'm pretty sure I've checked results on CQ in the past, and seen that there was no points for lower top-10s in 1.1 races.
And I thought you had Barrenetxea.

Movistar literally had 4 riders in the group though and two people hard pulling, so thats very hard. At the time I thought Movistar should do that instead of riding for Jon as I thought he would get beat

Looks like Jörgen Nordhagen channeled his inner Tadej Pogacar or something in Gran Premio Sportivi di Poggiana. Winning solo by almost 3 minutes.

The Avenir startlist looks class, though Nordhagen won't be doing it apparently due to a lack of funding in Norwegian cycling.

Hopefully Norway will be back next year. It sounded by reports that the decision not to race l'Avenir was so far just for this year. Nordhagen can still win it next year instead.

Norwegian Cycling Federation will still have no money next year, so I doubt it will change. The last few years the U23 and junior national team has basically only been funded by Uno-X...
