Thanks!
I'm happy he's trying a different strategy for once. We'd be almost sure of his win with a more conservative approach.
The teams are riding for UCI points. The teams with multiple riders are happy to get two riders in the top 10, instead of sacrificing a rider for a possible win and having one rider in the top 10.
And I don't think they are strong enough anyway. Still more than 40 seconds. Finally a 2nd group clear that works together, but it's too late probably
Probably the only way he may be able to beat HirschiKristian sparagli!!!!
Epic Tour de Luxembourg showdown coming up: Van der Poel versus Hirschi! 😍Field obviously incredibly weak,, even for a .Pro race but Hirsch ridiculously strong again. Good that he's leaving UCI, time to stop with all these smaller races and aim for more big ones again.

Maybe Tudor want him to get lots of UCI points at minor races for moving up to WT status?Field obviously incredibly weak,, even for a .Pro race but Hirsch ridiculously strong again. Good that he's leaving UCI, time to stop with all these smaller races and aim for more big ones again.

Actually 5 in a row considering San Sebastian and Bretagne. He's been on fire the last month.Hirschi does it again - chapeau! I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Hirschi is down for the Memorial Marco Pantani on Saturday. Three in a row?
Fair point on riding bigger races and Tudor having Alaphilippe too might help in getting a Tour wild card spot. 2025 will be a real fight for teams to stay as WT so I expect some unusual team tactics.Hirschi did not sign for Tudor to do the exact same thing there as he's been doing at UAE. He will obviously be riding more big races. He would be in Canada right now (and get 500 points combined there too btw) if he was at Tudor.
Half of his points this year are coming from WT anyways.

Cheers, I consider myself a bit of a vexillologist but I had never come across that one.It appears to be this one
Ha! all of a sudden Astana appear on Start list . So Lutsenko is back aiming for a 3rd win and maybe more importantly for Astana some UCI points.Saturday 14th September and the Hirschi Victory Tour continues with the 21 st Memorial Marco Pantani (1.1) 195.4 km from Cesena to Cesenatico, start at 11.20 CET, apparently TV is limited to "RAI Sport schedule shows an hour of recorded late in the evening."
startlist at https://www.procyclingstats.com/race/memorial-marco-pantani/2024/startlist
(Hirschi lost to Lutsenko last year and as Astana are not even riding here, I think we can guess who is the favourite)

Same finish as last year with 4 laps each 5 km long in Cesenatico.
