I don't understand why Alaphilippe does all those jerky movements, being super animated when it's really uncalled for. Reminds me of Voeckler's facial movements and tongue wagging anytime he had camera time. Seems like pure arrogance, like hey "look at me" or something. Total unnecessary. If a rookie pro rode like that they would get lambasted, but since it's JA, not too much critique. I hope that changes. This loss is a direct result of that arrogance or attitude. He doesn't need it. He's good enough without the excess showboating. I personally like JA and am happy he's the World Champion. But focus on the basics and winning. It's bad enough you screwed up a potential win, you are screwing up other riders chance of victory. (I don't think he wins this sprint if there was no swerving, etc.)
I, too, like JA and really enjoy his great performances in bike races, whether grand tours, other stage races, or one-day classics. But I agree that a dose of humility might help him and reduce risk to other riders around him. --Would like to see him retain his great qualities but let go of some of the unhelpful arrogance (while keeping the self-confidence).

Batshit insane to call it worse than in Poland. But if we had a multi strike system this probably wouldn't be strike one for Alaphilippe
I unfortunately agree on that part. He's been a bit too excited for my liking in a bike, always swerving and fixing shoes and stuffs. Great bike handler but he has to remember that he's not competing alone..

If MvdP could, he would. Mohoric is something special in high speed flat descends.

I also think a 50km solo tends to take something of your legs the day before. But he showed he can win LBL in the future. For sure

A flat descent?

But yeah, otherwise I agree.

I ma not a fan of Allaphilipe ...I know... I know he makes dare devil attacks and he is very talented and all that . He just too showy and conscience of an audience and I guess I don't like over the top showmen/showoffs

And that dance in a full bunny costume in an empty room on a wooden floor...I mean wtf . Plus he isn't even a good dancer :p
I guess there won't be any dancing tonight ............

I actually hoped they dont catch first group. Would be great if MVDP win that way when he was pulling that group most, but too much dominance for me.

It wasn't exactly as though the front group consisted of a bunch of winless whimps.

I absolutely hate when sports people acknowledge that they are there for the fans and try entertain them
