Look at me, I am a Vegan! Can I persuade you to become one too?

" and yes checkers is tough, but it is just a hill and walking up a hill brings dishonour to your family. if these people were not able to ride it they should have taken the detour around it. "

I prepared thoroughly and still walked up half of the climb knowing full well that I still had 100+ kms ahead of me and the usual mass pack carnage to face at the end of the ride....... are some people not allowed to be at different levels ?? Or do we have to be elite ??

Bananas are about to take a big hit from cyclone Yasi

Really? How do I comment on three men who like to eat bananas that look like dinosaur penises with speckles like "T-Rex's balls"? It's hard to argue against such a serious scientific approach... so when they say deodorant causes breast cancer I am inclined to immediately save myself by smelling like a vegan.

christ I just spit my banana flavored musclemilk all over the keyboard. thanks

How many vegans does it take to change a lightbulb?
None, vegans can't change anything.

Too many questions. Hopefully these answers below find their home.

#Checkers Hill is easy if you hit it EASY vs HARD. You gotta just ride it really easy at the first half and then save some for the top (hardest part). Too many people go nuts at the start and try and get a run up (never works on a hill that long).

#That video was meant to get people talking.

#Rip Esselstyn is a vegan these days. Like Mike Tyson he used to not be. (Yep Mike Tyson is a vegan.) (Still you can easily make a vegan machacado.)

#Bananas have fructose. ALL the studies done on negative fructose reactions were done using GMO high fructose corn syrup. Thats like doing a review on Trek Madones that had been hit with sledge hammers ie: not accurate. Fruit has more nutrients per calorie than any other human food. Most fruits are low to moderate GI, including bananas. A ripe spotty banana (see photo above) has a LOW GI of around 48.

Sir, you have made a grave affront to the Mexican people.
There is no such thing as vegan machacado.

Gonna find that photo of Rip E. on that monstrous climb--wearing a sombrero, no less. Somewhere in the archive...

What did God say to the 2 fallen vegan Angels who were assigned permanent residence on top of the golden arches of McDonalds in downtown LA for desiring hamburgers ?

Have it Your Way :)

Bananas combat warts, depression and morning sickness.

pretty clear whats going on in your house

I had a vasectomy 5 years ago so no morning sickness at my joint. ;)

As for pets, we dont have any, they are friends muttz you see in all my vids. I have vegan friends that do have pets. Personally I believe in totally free animals and I travel way too much to have any pet responsibility.

The notion that humans are natural omnivores is debunked by the fact that we have pet ANIMALS!! I mean who leaves a puppy with a 5 year old child and comes back and the puppy is just a picked carcass?

Ive won 2 x 5km running races here on the sunshine coast in the last week. Nobody in that running group doubts that you can be a super fit and healthy vegan now. Seeing is believing and eating vegan food is tasty. One rider today refused to believe that my powertap hub was not an actual motor and that was the reason I was out climbing everyone out of sight this morning.

Its time to step out of the meatrix and into a reality where following your heart is healthy and looking after your health, the animals and the planet is noble, fun and tasty. (PS: the banana in this photos is not yet ripe, it needs more spots.)

Harley, what's the best way to store banana's, this is my biggest issue right now.

At the price they are in Australia now and in the next 2 months, Id say STORE THEM IN THE SAFE!! ;)

I put mine in a car boot or wrap em in plastic or keep em in a fridge or peel em if they are super ripe and fresh em for using in smoothies. It depends on how much you have, when you want em ripe etc.

Basically if they are green, keep em warmer to ripen faster and if they are super spotty and you have heaps, keep em in the fridge and/or peel and freeze for smoothies.

That debunks nothing. Leave a puppy with a lion cub and you probably wouldn't have a carcass until mommy comes home.

In fact if you actually read the current peer reviewed paleoanthropology lit, you will find a well supported hypothesis about the origin of unique hominid bipedalism and super-endurance: it probably evolved as a mechanism to successfully hunt large prey via daytime persistence hunting in an Africa that was drying up and becoming less forested a couple million years ago. The is also why we are now hairless on most of our body and can sweat all over our body--we'd run our furry prey to heat exhaustion under the mid day sun. This large prey provided enough calories to eventually support the evolution of an enlarged brain, which led to tool making, fire, cooking meat, language, and eventually, arguments on the internet with people who think they know everything.

Yup, language may have originated around a BBQ.

Some of our ancestors remained vegetarian: they still walk on all fours and have .25x the brain size of a human.

(Frugivorious Orangatang)

Not saying you shouldn't make whatever dietary choices you want, but calling Homo sapiens or any known historic member of the Homo genus anything other than omnivorous just ignores all evidence to the contrary. It's pretty clear we've been hunter-gatherers for a long long time.

= omnivore

Chimps eating monkeys. A dish of Colobus goes nicely with bananas.

actually that first pic before i changed to the orang is a bonobo, which is vegetarian, and an endangered sister clade to chimps (and us). supposedly they are very gentle compared to chimps

yes chimps are pretty violent. and pretty intelligent.
