How big is the chance that Kristoff stays in the top 10 with the TT in mind?

Probably not too big a chance. Jesse Sergent (who was my pick for the GC) is at 6sec so if starts the TT at the same time should be a very good chance to win the overall. Also Luke Durbridge (CN has him at 6 sec on GC, but down as losing 1:32 for the stage - so will depend what time he gets from - presumably - a crash, and if he was hurt or just held up), its his first race ever on cobbles but if he starts the TT 6 sec down he would be a threat for overall.

From the current crop of riders @6 seconds, Chavanel, Westra, Sergent, Durbo & Tuft are the overall favorites.

Also Ignatiev, Stamsnijder, Terpstra, Irizar & Devolder (presumably, you'll never know with Stijn) should easily beat Kristoff in a time trial, so don't expect a massive load of CQ points for TOAK, LaFlorecita ;)

10:00 Compact squad is pathetic: nobody wants to leave his friends in the peloton and attacks. Or does everyone already down to a sprint?

10:12 The contest is completely stuck. The riders have more sense of the sun and sea breezes to enjoy it than to fly.

10:17 Attack Preben Van Hecke's still enough of the gelanterfant. He polished the plate and immediately ten seconds
.

It even sounded stupid in Dutch. The guy that wrote it has to be reprimanded.

I'm more surprised about Scheirlinckx, I thought he might need some more racing to get in shape for the Ronde after his injury. The results following his crash in Nokere Koerse do not look promising

18km all'arrivo, meno di un minuto per i battistrada...

EDIT: sorry, I wrote in Italian :D

Translate: 18km to the finish, less than one minute for the guys in front!

If anyone should wonder, Kristoff is a terrible TT'er. I don't think he has ever been training on his TT bike.

BMC is the new Rabobank? Kristoff leaves the team and lo and behold, he wins a race!

Van Hummel his old, super ugly self again in the sprint. If only he could turn all that lateral energy into forward movement...

Kristoff is absolutely useless without a train. He can't position himself. Even when he occasionally gets into a good position he'll be exhausted from the effort. BMC never had anyone decent to assist him.

But with a HTC-like train, as we saw Katusha pulling of today, he's a top sprinter for sure.
