He said Jorgensen won fair and square, just like I did. He didn’t say Jorgensen was stronger. That's true. We don't but Remco may give you an honest answer. Ask him because everyone else couldn't see the end of this road.

He said he couldn't drop Mateo and used his first name to indicate his respect for his strength. In Remco's world that would stand as a serious endorsement. He said Jorgensen won fair and square, just like I did. He didn’t say Jorgensen was stronger.
Good point—you could tell by his tone not just his words. He said he couldn't drop Mateo and used his first name to indicate his respect for his strength. In Remco's world that would stand as a serious endorsement.
And yet his fan base consider Roglic a villain for not racing harder on the last stage and suggest that Visma is the systematic reason for a rider beating Remco. Remco doesn't deserve that sort of pointless analysis. He's a phenom and will have his moment. He won't win everything and if Jorgenson has an off race some may gleefully declare his career over like they have Egan's. One thing is certain: the best rider will not win as many more races than they do win. Listening to Remco he seemed a mature competitor and good with that result.Good point—you could tell by his tone not just his words.
Yes, I agree. But nowhere did he indicate Jorgensen was stronger, I also didn’t see this.He said he couldn't drop Mateo and used his first name to indicate his respect for his strength. In Remco's world that would stand as a serious endorsement.
Froome is also quite tall, it's more about how you are build.Congratulations to the big man, I wonder if with his height and build he can be GC material. I would say no, but one week races and classics seem a very decent focus.
His post race interview says otherwise; at least as much as Remco acknowledges other riders.Yes, I agree. But nowhere did he indicate Jorgensen was stronger, I also didn’t see this.
Against Belgia media he literally said he doesn’t know who was the strongest since they stayed together. His post race interview says otherwise; at least as much as Remco acknowledges other riders.
In English language his interview said they were equally strong. That's a Remco endorsement and reviewing the last stage it was clear MJ was the stronger rider after 8 days. What happened prior to that was all bike racing.Against Belgia media he literally said he doesn’t know who was the strongest since they stayed together.
I was impressed as well. One of the interviewers actually asked him about his command of the language: he took some lessons, and once in Chambery at age 19, he had to live with eight guys who didn't speak a word of English.wow his French is absolutely stunning
Up there with the likes of Soler and BetancurThe next next great hope😁
I thought he meant the next great American hope—which is a lower bar to reach.Up there with the likes of Soler and Betancur
Horner and Kuss might have a word on thatI thought he meant the next great American hope—which is a lower bar to reach.
Has Horner ever been the next great American hope? In my memory he's always been old.Horner and Kuss might have a word on that
Oh I didn’t mean to rate him with or above them; usually when we talk about the “next great hope” I assume we’re talking about a rider rider to match the qualities of previous (or current) generations. I don’t think would use “hope” in regard to Kuss because he’s already achieved his top level.Horner and Kuss might have a word on that
