Well, I read it in several places, and HE said it in an interview.Do you have a source for that? Is there a report for that?

How would he accomplish more than being vital in pursuing Remco? He could serve his country and team interests both if Wout was there, right? Wout was a bit behind and LaPorte got the bronze. Seems like the effort he put into this Tour played largely both on Jonas getting 2nd in GC and Wout's win today. Why didn't you help Wout win Olympic gold? 🙃
Very close prognostication and he was vital in Wout's win.A chance he goes in the breakaway tomorrow and goes for the stage? He should have rested today
Matteo Jorgenson has himself going to the Vuelta, maybe that's a more credible source than PCS.Procyclingstats has him going to the Vuelta....WHOA BABY
Yea, Matteo looks like he has bounced back from a lackluster Tour and looks poised to be the Tour 23 Kuss for Vingegaard in this race.Haven't heard much from the bashers that are hoping Mateo would suck this Vuelta. Seemed pretty healthy today with serious riders sitting in his wake. Jonas liked the easy day, too.
Yup, he could end up being an outside contender for the 3rd podium spot, though it will depend on how Visma decide to ride the mountain stages this weekend.Yea, Matteo looks like he has bounced back from a lackluster Tour and looks poised to be the Tour 23 Kuss for Vingegaard in this race.

No, I meant Kuss helping Vingo to beat Pogi at the 23 Tour, not Kuss slipping away in a break of the 23 Vuelta.Vingo will make sure Kuss' situation doesn't repeat this time. He won't allow his American friends in any breakaway!
But I can see him go on Vivero. Kuss is still useful for infiltrating dangerous breaks.Jorgenson should go in the break today. But he probably won't.
Jorgensen is a great rider and a super domestique.Haven't heard much from the bashers that are hoping Mateo would suck this Vuelta. Seemed pretty healthy today with serious riders sitting in his wake. Jonas liked the easy day, too.
Today's stage showed the friskiness of the top ten competitors. IMO JV can't really do this until the last week with a little more buffer for Jonas. This is a typically weird Vuelta and they will/should keep a full wrap of support around the GC leader. If they don't win it'll be catastrophic for management as much as the riders.Jorgensen is a great rider and a super domestique.
What he did in the 2024 Tour was amazing.
In this year's Tour he started strong but then got sick midway.
He's been great in this Vuelta. Visma could try to send him up the road to put some pressure on Almeida and Pidcock.
If neither of them follows, then Vingegaard could bridge to him.
Catastrophic? They're riding as a team, by far the strongest team in the race, to support their leader. It's UAE who should really be scratching their heads if it turns out at the end they've lost the race by a few seconds, and think if maybe at some point they could have done a little more to support Almeida.Today's stage showed the friskiness of the top ten competitors. You're correct, they are and much smarter than LeTour. My point is there is are no guarantees against mechanicals, crashes, etc that could have Jonas standing on the side of the road.Catastrophic? They are not racing smarter. Why do you think that? You're correct, they are and much smarter than LeTour. My point is there is are no guarantees against mechanicals, crashes, etc that could have Jonas standing on the side of the road.
I was responding to P4thenOn's strategy:

I'd love to see that happen but understand why JV wouldn't attempt it this early. Jonas' needs a bigger GC gap to attempt it IMO. After the Tour they can't afford an embarrassing strategic error.
They've let other teams wear themselves out instead of full on bludgeoning of the field at every moment; then losing the sprints. The Tour was a bad idea, repeated daily. They are not racing smarter. Why do you think that?
A bit too steep for a rider of his stature.Terrible performance today.
