Great Danish teamwork todayRedheadDane said:Turns out it is possible to win a medal in these World's without a sprint. :surprised:
What ice pack is going to last nearly 6 hours? In 35+ degree heat the longest it will be effective for is about 30-40 minutes. GVA's domestiques will have to go back to the cars several times in the race anyway, then he's going to have to change it over while racing at 45kmh, in the middle of 150+ riders. It's not really a viable option.Lexman said:42x16ss said:Yes, but carrying a camelback is going to make him overheat. he'll use an icepack (?) as well to cool the body down
taking bottles in echelons is impossible so they must look for other means to get something to drink..
Breh said:Belgian team is pretty worried about 200riders constantly fetching bottles because they'll have to drink ALOT. Roads in the desert are appearently not too wide and carrying bottles on the circuit might be even more difficult.
Kwibus said:They only need winds a little more than 10km/h in the desert for echelons.

How does that work?
Lexman said:GVA might ride with a camelbag I read in a flemish newspaper, since taking bottles in the race will be very difficult...
He’s (Nacer Bouhanni) also got a strong French team around him, including Milan-San Remo winner Arnaud Demare who will likely be on lead-out duties.
