That sounds pretty bad, the other statement could just be them playing mindgames.
Demare knows how to ride in the wind and is able to handle the distance, but is he able to handle the heat?
Bouhanni said he would have gone crazy if he arrived earlier in Doha. Roy said that they trained in "heat conditions" at home.

if bouhanni wins the worlds i will never again watch cycling.
Don't worry, he's more interested in beating Démare than actually winning the race. I wouldn't be surprised if they crash each other out in the sprint
This is wrong on so many levels. :p
Actually, Bouhanni looks more like a team player than Démare.
It genuinely looks like the French Federation has surrendered to this likelihood, that's why Démare and Bouhanni have three teammates each. A 65kmh barge fest between these two and Cav could get seriously entertaining.

One Pro is missing as well for example, although they have two starters

Dutch decided they couldn't allow a Neben vs. Belgian domestiques TT to run too long. Lined up at the front behind the Belgians are Deignan, Johansson, Niewiadoma and Longo Borghini. The latter two aren't going to win anything from a sizable group on this course, so presumably needing to stay vigilant in case any dangerous groups move. Neben's lead is pretty good now, but she just missed a bottle, which isn't ideal in this weather.

Zabelinskaya DQed for an illegal bike change.

No surprise they are burning Barnes for Lizzie. Britain only ever have one plan - the obvious one.
Now shaking it up, King making the move with Amy Pieters too, it's still clearly about making it so Lizzie doesn't have to work behind, but they are mixing up the ways they get there.

Now Hannah Barnes attacking... ah Johansson, that's a move immediately seized upon by Deignan and one of the Dutch. Some of the sprinters on the smaller teams now showing their faces, have just seen Lepistö and Gutiérrez.
