See how far Kwiatkowski got in '16. He needs someone stronger than himself there (like Sagan or Cancellara back in the days). Greg is a mediocre descender and probably won't do anything anyway. Sky will want to avoid a bunch sprint. Who else? QS will play their cards. Ag2r and BMC are allies with Sky, but I doubt how much they will muster. The Barb said:Is this exactly the same finish as last year? If so there's not a great chance for a regrouping, partly because those who are likely to get a gap on the Poggio (like last year, Sagan, Kwiatkowski and Alaphilippe) are such elite descenders.
Without Le Manie, not much I think. Too short finale.Red Rick said:Will be interesting to see how the smaller teams affect this one.

Agree, he's hot, fast, improving...Nono is my choice. Kwiat is dangerous. Sagan and his sour grapes as reported...I hope that he doesn't win. Alaf would be great but unlikely. The Hegelian said:DenisMenchov said:Dylan Groenewegen if he can survive the Poggio of course,
On the Groenewegen thread, a few people were saying he won't even be racing. Otherwise, I'd be in agreement.

I would really like to see Trentin win. And look out for Greipel, he is more and more becoming a classics rider.
He was pishLaplaz said:And why no Greipel in the poll? He is climbing better in the last years and wasn't bad in Paris-Nice.
Alaphilippe is a better puncheur and a better descender than Kwiatkowski. Look at Bergen championships. Ala has the ability to attack on poggio and win alone, Kwia can only do that on the wheel of others.hazaran said:Because he was beaten by the two guys that will forever be closer than Alaphilippe.
