MVP wasn't on the limit, otherwise he wouldn't attack in the end of poggio.

Ronde has no 8 min climbs like SanRemo. Better for MVdP to recover from more anaerobic efforts than efforts like Cipressa.

One thing about Pogacar is that his strength makes every win against him all that much more meaningful. MSR has often been exciting but this has probably been the first edition since like 2013 to be genuinely epic.

All 3 made this race epic. Feel kinda sorry for Ganna but the strongest rider won at the end.

I never said attack. That would be suicide. But He needs to do the race harder. It is just plain impossible to win in the Poggio. It is just not possible for such a light rider. He was third last year and He is third this year. The race was just a bit more entertaining. He just needs to risk a little more. He cannot do the same thing every year and expect a different outcome.

Wrong position on Cipressa or legs. It was obvious Pogacar would show his hand on Cipressa when they entered the climp.

Next year will be worse if they do it again. I believe there will be more riders prepared there. IMHO.

Considering vdP's long-standing mental advantage over him, today could not have been an easy watch for Wout. He needs to show up with career best form to even be in contention in a few weeks.
