That was probably the best version of Pinot that we have ever seen. A few days later he won Lombardia by attacking with Nibali on the Muro (they also set a climbing record), he was on fire.
Astana Diego Rosa was also freakish strong, he was pulling on the 2nd part of the penultimate ascent and then did the same on the final ascent until Aru told him to attack and was only 2sec slower.

It was a dig at a certain French former Festina coach who tweets his wattsthefvck posts every time a non-French rider wins. I will assume he didn't tweet anything of the sort when Pinot came out on top.

Until 2013, Nibali was an exciting rider who was always on form and went for the win in practically every race he did. Then he beat Valverde in the Tour of Sicily last week, and so what? How does that disprove what I said? I haven't said that he only concentrates on the Tour, but I have said that he is only really there for a short period of each year. And now that he is severely on the decline, that period seems even shorter. His win was impressive, he beat Valverde fair and square (obviously) and was the strongest rider in the race, but where has that level been all year? It seems pretty insane to claim that he is "fighting for wins all season".

And so what if I am a fan of Valverde? First off, I'm certainly not the biggest fan of his on this forum, and second, I don't really think my liking of him ever interferes with my judgment of what's going on in discussions on here, either. And if we need to go there (which I don't really think we do given that this discussion was not about Valverde at all until you threw him in my face); do you honestly think Valverde does not deliver year-round?

I am always being semi-serious when I post, I come here to have fun because cycling to me is fun, I didn't realise posting here was such serious business and I have to not misrepresent your opinions.

Nibali this year had bad crashes which ruined his season. He is a grand tour dominator who go for wins in tour of Flanders and Sanremo whilst targeting grand tours, that's why I mentioned him. I didn't think too seriously about the issue. But he was the anti-froome at the time when Froome focus only on tour.

I was kind of poking fun at you because you seem to take everything very seriously. For instance, I said something like Dan Martin had the legs to win Flecke Wallone in 2017 if he had better positioning, and you went off on me about how Valverde was the greatest puncheur in the world and greatest of all time and Dan Martin couldn't get close to him in Catalunya and just defending valverde like he was you sainted mother and I did a poor taste insult to her. When I didn't really say anything about Valverde Piti. So with the valverde stuff I was just having fun about that, because it's all fun to me. Sorry Toby.

I don't mean to be too disrespectful

Valverde didnt deliver all year round in 2010 and 2011 ;)

I hardly think I take everything very seriously.

All I said at the time was that Valverde was in his best form of his entire career in the spring of 2017 and that was hardly a factor that gave Martin too much of a chance. Your insane exaggerations of my supposed relationship to Valverde because of that is on you, not me.

Helping the team, as most of the year. His help is being very important since Slovakia for. Today 5th and 11th for the team. He even chase down alone an small break of several Quick Step riders with and strong pulling.

Congratulation to Primož Roglič for taking the win.

The race didn't disappoint. Favourites tackled it in an unorthodox fashion and we got to see the best of the best going all in against each other. It will be interesting to see if Il Lombardia will be able to cope in this regard. Today Roglič won the battle of the prestige in a convincing fashion. Yates is likely starting to introduce a problem for Bernal. Too soon to say if Almeida could cause similar troubles for Pogačar at UAE.

This seems like a pretty weird assessment. Why on Earth would he use that word if he didn't know what it is? It's not exactly every-day talk...
