Well they should have taken the 5th. LA would never have allowed them into his would-be death bed if they were going to spend years going after him.

Are you accusing LA's doctors of lying?

Doctor's? Which one's?

The ones that took Armstrong's side.

If Frankie wants to admit to doping, that his business.

Again why should Betsy or Frankie have to lie to protect Lance?

You mentioned Doctor's - if you have name's for them that would help.

It's pretty well known that his cancer doctor took LA's side of the story. It does seem very odd that they would talk about this stuff with guests in the room.

Look, the moral of the story is take the 5th.

laters...

Awww... you mentioned Doctor's, I thought you might have name's.
The Doctor you are referring to got looked after - he's ok.

Again - why should Betsy or Frankie have to lie - or take the 5th - to protect Lance?

Thats the moral of the story.

No you're okay thanks. To invite someone so controversial that has tried to bring down the biggest name in cycling, for no obvious reason that anyone can work out, would not be welcome. Indeed it would be trollery.

If you want to suck up to her, continue to send her supportive emails. Don't drag down the forum.

tried to bring down? hmm.

and i don't think it would be trollery.

wouldn't you want (your) Pontius Pilate to swing by and chat if you were havign a discussion on a Christian / easter/ did it didn't it focum?

I'd say the only ones who wouldnt want her to enter a discussion are those who dont want their RCG apple cart upset

Suck up to her? thata bit extreme. never met her. rather I admire certain elements of her personality that i recognise with my wife and other people i have chosen to surround myself with

don't drag down the forum? um, isn't SHE the central element of the forum? she has no right to participate in the thread? okayyyy

notwithstanding that i don't agree with your comments and tone, I’d actually agree that he should gain little buy being here

There is probably little to be gained for her or us if she spent time with us - beynod the ability to ask specific questions

from my observation we bicker, we're disfunctional, we argue, we belittle and there are 2 or 3 camps in the LA saga

i'd hope she's moved on and doesn't need to live and breathe this, other than to drop in on retards like on that other web site to put them back in their box.

You do realize you can only take the 5th to protect yourself, don't you?

You can't take the 5th to protect your friends, although you can use it to protect your spouse.

The guy is a troll and if it is Helmut, then quite an intelligent one at that. You guys have had your legs jerked on for days with this one. I have tried to tell you to just stop responding, but people keep feeding him. I find it all funny because some of his posts are genius troll material. I am an aficionado of the troll craft and this guy is good, real good. See, many know he is a troll and STILL respond to him. That is troll craft at its finest fellas, you are witnessing a master at work.

Can you please explain to me the motivation in being a troll?

I kind of think feeding the troll is fun, this is by far the most interesting thread on the forum right now, mostly because it is funny laughing at the inssesant ramblings of the troll.

Trolls make for interesting forums, although they can become quite bothersome on live coverage threads.

1. You are Trolling
2. Lance's Cancer Doctor, Dr. Nichols, was not his doctor at the time of the incident.
3. You are a Troll
4. If you are from the UK why would you write "Take the 5th"? There is no 5th amendment in Britain.
5.Isn't it past your Troll bedtime, or is the meth keeping you up?

I think it was either the doctor or the hospital that got one of those magical 'donations' of 1.5 million literally within days of the judgement.

Just to see it from another angle; the husband of a British politician a few years ago testified in a court case for Berlusconi. Berlusconi then 'donated' thousands of pounds to the bank the husband was paying his mortgage to. Nothing wrong there then. How coincidental!

+1.... (s)he is a good troll. Just bordering on the line of someone obviously making a joke of the situation.

TheDangerMan, who is posting on cyclingforums, and The Arbiter, posting here, are obviously the same person. Key phrases and even sentences that are obvious trolls are used in posts by both of them.

In this case it sucks because a members here have wasted a lot of time responding to the trolls.

The Hog is also a troll. He is pretending to be an Armstrong fan. Judging by some of his language, I think it is WhiteBoyTrash, who was banned a while back. I am not sure why he was banned, though.

While she does not search out articles like the above to comment-on, when she's made aware of them, she will often share HER views via the comments box. Go Andreau's!

Actually Betsy had her comment's removed from the comments box from thispiece in The Gaurdian after calling in to question John Wilcockson ethics in writing a new book on LA.

But don't worry - here is the deleted comment:

betsyandreu wrote:
The truth is quite uncomfortable to Mr. Wilcockson so he simply decides not to even go near it.
At the Tour of California in 2008, Mr. Wilcockson asked my husband if he wanted to talk about the "old times" he shared with Lance Armstrong for a book he was writing on him. My husband declined. Mind you, this was February 2008 and Mr. Wilcockson wanted to talk to my husband about Mr. Armstrong as he put it "from a rider's perspective".
Fast forward to the spring of 2009. Someone who had a copy of Mr. Wilcockson's book read me a passage pertaining to me. On page 355 , Mr. Wilcockson singles me out as being the only person in that hospital room to have heard lance admit to using performance enhancing drugs to the doctor who asked him the question which evoked his response that he had used such doping products. I was never the only person to testify to this or even admit it happened. Mr. Wilcockson's wilfull ommission of the truth is despicable. I told Mr. Wilcockson by phone and by e-mail that I thought the omission of my husband's testimony was deceitful. Not only did my husband, Frankie, testify the same as I - that lance did indeed tell the doctors he used performance enhancing drugs (and elaborated which ones he did use) but so did Stephanie McIlvain in a phone conversation to Greg LeMond (although she would later lie about it under oath even though there's proof of this conversation). "Telling him (Frankie) in 2008 you wanted to talk to him about the good ole days is far far different than asking him to explain his deposition where he states he knows lance doped," is what I wrote Mr. Wilcockson in an e-mail. Omitting Frankie's name is nothing but disingenuous and unethical.

Mr. Wilcockson wanted to talk to my husband about one thing in February of 2008. When he was commissioned by Mr. Armstrong to write this biography later on that year, he never contacted me or Frankie about that which he wrote in the book pertaining to the hospital room. Never. Instead, Mr. Wilcockson outright lies by writing in this hagiography that I was the only person in the hospital room to hear lance admit to using performance enhancing drugs.

Mr. Wilcockson has been duplicitous. He has perpetuated the lie and distorted the truth at the expense of others. His integrity is so lacking that it's pathetic

2. Lance's Cancer Doctor, Dr. Nichols, was not his doctor at the time of the incident.

In Dr. Nichols' affadavit, he stated that:

1. In multiple doctor-patient interviews, Armstrong never admitted taking performance-enhancing drugs.
2. He began Armstrong's chemotherapy that same day as the alleged admission. He said he and other medical personnel had talked with Armstrong about his medical history.
3. If Armstrong had admitted to taking performance-enhancing drugs, Dr. Nichols would have been aware of it and would have recorded it - "Had I been present at any such 'confession,' I would most certainly have vividly recalled the fact," Nichols said. "I would have recorded such a confession as a matter of form, as indeed, would have my colleagues. None was recorded."

So, in my opinion, there's the kicker. Betsy Andreu testified two doctors came in and Armstrong admitted taking all of the PEDs. If so, why are none of those in Armstrong's medical chart? As Dr. Nichols stated, the PEDs were not recorded.

I don't know about you (you as in the general "you," not you personally), whenever I've gone to the doctor, everything I state as taking, whether it be aspirin, Tylenol, some herbal remedy, or a prescription, is recorded in my chart.
