I am simply so shocked today.
First I check this morning, Cancellara has won. All glad of course, and then suddenly Alberto gets caught.
Then Mosquera.
Now Ricco.
What is going on? I really love this sport, and I will definitely continue to do so, but all this news is making me sad![]()
May you take the positive out of all the positives: No cover up anymore like in the Armstrong case. Big riders indeed get caught (Basso, Ullrich, Vino, Rasmussen, Valv-Piti, AC, Pellizottl, DiLuca). It doesn´t get any bigger.
I enjoy watching cycling more than ever, because the suspicious riders get caught or are feared to dope heavily. So we have climbers climbing again and TTlers time trialing, but no combined super performances anymore. It seems the field is cleaner and the sport (is forced) to test for doping. Complete opposite to the contaminated sports like soccer (no testing, fixed games and a dictator on top of FIFA, where McQuaid looks like a amateur in comparison).
