As a reminder to those who might think otherwise, I really appreciate the light Joe Papp is shedding on doping in professional cycling. It is VERY impressionable with me.

What I am clueless about is that my comment hurts the feelings of a couple of guys I wasn't even addressing. That strikes me as weird.

It didn't hurt my feelings. I was just pointing out what is always true about you. You are the one that seems a bit sensitive about it all.

here's a tip. when people roll their eyes at you, it is not a sign that you've hurt their feelings.

Nope. Not sensy at all. But thanks for contributing to someone else's drama, again.

You seriously need to read up on that irony thingy. It will do wonders for your self perception.

The pot just called out the kettle.

See, cause this was directed at Race Radio's comment to another person's post, and see you just well...I am hoping you have the intellect to connect the dots here, but I am not overly optimistic.

Isn't there a Lance Armstrong thread for you to go play in?

Due to the anonymous nature of the internet people tend to be more outspoken than they would in face to face discussions. Perhaps you should treat these snarky coments the same way you would those embarassing silent moments that occur immediately after you blurt out something silly at a social gathering. I am sure you have plenty of experience with that.

Yea, my knee pads are wearing thin...

BPS is the greatest troll ever on this forum. He isn't in the elite echelon of Jeff Vader the all time greatest, but that guy is a hoot! Man I live reading his satire.

That's correct. There is no diagnosis yet b/c I've not yet seen an endocrinologist for more complete testing. The posting of the different blood tests is just to provide two different reference points...slightly younger and very doped, and now, w/o dope, w/ health problems and always tired, lethargic, not experiencing expected positive changes in body composition in response to training, etc.

I don't know if the symptoms I have now are caused by primary or secondary issues, and what role - if any - doping played in this. I'm just trying to put into a public forum actual data from an elite athlete who was doped and post-doped. I know I don't need to say this for 99% of the people here, who are sophisticated enough to realize what's going on, but...for the rest: it doesn't matter that I didn't ride the Tour de France, b/c that's irrelevant to analyzing the effects of doping. In 2006 I had UCI points in the America Tour, the European Tour and the Asia Tour. I didn't have any ProTour points (or whatever it was called then) and I didn't have any points from Oceania Tour (if that even existed then). So while I wasn't in the GT milieu in '06, I was still in the "doping" milieu and I had a former GT-rider for a roommate.

Ultimately, as I start to become more open and share more information in a more public way, my hope is that by offering myself as an example w/ documented evidence there will be a name and a face and a body and a pair of eyes and a voice to go along with the previously abstract warnings about how doping is dangerous and why it shouldn't be done, and what the consequences can be...and hopefully even if you do get mixed up in it and messed up by it, through honesty and atoning for mistakes made you can right your life and find a place in the world.

I expect, of course, to be hassled, heckled, and hated upon along the way...I've had two years of that already and it's true that one does start to develop a resistance to anonymous emails and insults and fanboys. ;)
Joe,

I appreciate your honesty and frankness about doping in professional cycling.

I for one, think its very insightful to the layperson who enjoys watching the sport and doesn't get to hear much about the true 'goings on' in the professional peloton, especially with cycling's omerta.

I wish you all the best with your upcoming endrocrinology testing!

FWIW, I had a friend about 10 years ago who had frequently used steroids, testosterone, and GH, while body building off and on for several years.

Long story, short, one day out of the blue he started exhibiting symptoms that sound extremely similar to the symptoms that you have described.

After batteries of tests with endrocrinologists, and other specialists, they determined him to have 'Graves Disease'.

His symptoms mimicked your symptoms. He had zero energy, whereas he used to be full of energy. And he ended up losing a lot of weight soon afterwards.

Eventually, and I can't remember the details, the doctors had to 'kill' his thyroid and put him on medication to regulate his thyroid.

He's doing fine the last time I saw him.

Granted, you could have something totally different going on.

Anyway, just throwing that out there as something to possibly consider while trying to pinpoint your current health issues.

Hopefully its something simple, like some sort of deficiency, etc.

Godspeed Joe Pap!

THANKS! And thanks to everyone who has contacted me by email or via PM to express similar sentiments. This is most-appreciated, as the effects of low-t or an under-active thyroid CAN ruin your day, every day. Seriously. So the support @ a personal level is appreciated, and the understanding of what I"m trying to do more broadly in sharing this information is great. :) Keep repeating it...pass it on, talk about the reality of this - not me per se, but what still goes on in cycling and is hurting the sport.

[I had to remove the post temporarily with the blood work in it due to the a-hole who had way too much free time on his/her hands and copied the info and used it inappropriately, nefariously contacting people with whom I am associated, doing business or engaged...idiot.

Assertion.

It is strange that someone who disrupts threads with pointless insults and attempts to bully people they disagree with, is allowed to continue posting. Can you imagine how long I would last if I did that?

It's not hard to see why so many of you got banned from road bike review.

*Yawn*

Looks like more info from negative and after effects of doping there than CEM.

Someone needs to track that person down and kick him in the nuts.

Thanks again for sharing Joe, your honesty is appreciated but us in the circle, if you will.

Did you get the EPO from a human or did you buy it from foreign pharmacies online?

It won't matter to you, you need the kind for morons.
