He is really good, but people as Nairo are very difficult to see.
But they are more like Schleck or Izaguirre brothers than Zubeldia's or Sagan`s

I find myself turning into a Quintana fanboy. The more I see him race the more I like him. It would be a minor miracle for him to get into first place at this point, but at the same time he's not exactly looking weak. Could certainly see him leapfrog Contador yet, & I won't believe it's over for Nairo until the end of Saturday's stage.

More because he had to do all the early attacking in the Pyrenees and Ventoux. Today was the first time he could save energy for the last climb and follow the top GC riders, and he's immediately proven as the best climber.

valverde should be shown the door too, his pointless attack today instead of helping his much better teammate quintana.

yeah Valverde was also bad on Ventoux so he can't use the wind stage as excuse. Quintana is far superior to him

So what's Valverde better at? Flat ITT? Barely, not much anyway, and flat sprinting. Hills? Doubt it. Sprint uphill? Doubt it.

So overall in a Gt, you'd want Quintana

I don't think so at all, see quintana last year in lombardia, he was the best man with purito and henao in a race that didn't suit him in blistering rain

Valverde was better at the Ardennes this year, where the competition is higher than in those fall classics. The longer climbs seem to suit him better than those in LBL, which he also demostrated in Emilia.

quintana had never done any classics race before and he showed to be very strong in lbl. he'll be a factor there too in the future. he said he really liked the races
