Dont think it will matter at all. Not a single WT race win next season. Book it!
I am still not sold on his TT skills. Even in 3rd week of the Trou he wasnt spectacular, in Giro he was pretty weak in TT, nothing special in Vuelta (lost a lot even by the time he got on top of the hill so on the part that suits him).

In Tour going to lose a lot in punchy finishes, will see about cobble sectors. I think those are fairly easy so will be ridden really hard to make at least some gaps.
Just because you hate a rider you don't have to make up stuff. You don't have to open this thread you know. We all know how much you hate Quintana, but nobody is forcing you to post nonsense.

There are riders that I don't like and I choose not to open or post on their threads.

What stuff is he making up though?

It's not like it's him who claimed the Vuelta TT was in the first week.

Exactly, dont see anything made up in that post.

Are you ready to bet on that one? What odds to you propose?

Making exagerations. Maybe not making stuff up.

I'll bet you he will win at least a WT race. You said to book it.

We are including stages right?

I didn't see any English captions...

1. Click on "CC" bottom and let the subtitles run
2. Click on "Settings" bottom.
3. Click on "Subtitles/CC", then select "translate Captions" and select the language of your preference.

Tour de San Luis
Vuelta a Andalucía
Tirreno-Adriático
Vuelta al País Vasco
Ardennes (probably, but not all 3)

So Quintana, Contador and Froome will ride Andalucía

Quintana and Valverde seemed to have come to an agreement on who leads the Tour (Nairo) and La Vuelta (Valverde).

Valverde thinks he is the greatest rider from Spain of all time. I dont trust Valverde's arrogance to be a domestique. If he feels good, I dont think he will want to work for anyone but himself. Quintana will probably be at more ease when Valverde is gone. A bit of a snake in the grass feeling when I look at Valverde/Quintana situation.

Valverde has to understand by now that he is not really going to win another GT anymore anyway. I doubt he'll give Nairo (who he understands is the future of the team and appearantly quite likes) to much trouble as he'll probably focus on winning classics, which he should still be able to do.

Since there's actual mountain stages in the Vuelta this year, Quintana should be leader, and it is actually not even close. The Andorra stage is huge, Quintana will finish minutes ahead of Valverde if there's enough action

I like a lot more Quintana than Valverde, but if is hot Valverde could do it really well. He has shine in all kind of stages, in Mont Ventoux, in a long ITT, etc.. he won the hardest Vuelta till now, 2009, with strong rivals. Fro him is not a question of the route.

He can put to quintana with bonus and small gaps, some tome in several stages.. and he could put as well in the ITT. But he need to be in a good shape and hot. Las year he was podium and he was the first week doing stupid breakaways instead traying to get bonuses.

And dont forget that he won the first mountain finish, with Quintana there.
he has won Dauohine, that has really hard mountain stages.

Valverde is not going to be a problem for Quintana. The main target for him is the Tour, but if he is strong enough in the Vuelta he could of course put some minutes in the two Queen stages.

Just to get this straight: Valverde rides Vuelta and Quintana rides Tour?
Both ride both. Quintana is captain in the Tour, Valverde in the Vuelta.

If one thinks about it, had Contador and Froome not crashed out of the Tour, there's a chance that neither would've started the Vuelta leaving Valverde with a good chance of reaching the top step of the podium. He's not that far off of still being capable of winning the Vuelta again if circumstances are right for him.
