Quintana is a very clever and cold-mind guy. He knows that for the moment Froome is stronger than him and he is trying to not waste too much energy thinking that in the Alps he could strike back. I really think Quintana will be the strongest rider in the Alps. As for Valverde, I think he can achieve finally his dreamed Tour de France podium.
Definitely agree that Quintana will be strongest in the Alps but still maintain that losing a minute in the Pyrenees cost him his chance of victory
Not sure about Valverde for 3rd, he's looking good but I think Contador is coming good now too and will nab it.
Stage 2 cost him even more time. That's the big **** up. Without that, losing a minute at PSM would be acceptable,
if he goes on to be the best climber at the Alps.
If Froome is still the strongest climber there, though, then he simply superior and deserves the win, and Quintana will need to hope that he can become a better climber still next year.
