I think he'd rathe rgo for a top 3 in the giro than slaving for Quintana. His ego won't allow him to ride for someone else until he is 40 :D
Still better than Horner tho:D

I dont think Valverde will ever ride Giro tho.

He was considering riding it this year, but management decided Quintana would be leader for it.

Interesting that in the comparison posted by Vayer showing that alien Froome climbed Ventoux 25 seconds faster than juiced Armstrong and Pantani in 2000, that Quintana crossed the line at almost the same time as Pantani:

The third guy across the line last year (Mikel Nieve) would have placed seventh in 2000.

But froome Quintana etc had a tailwind for most of the climb - pantani etc had a massive headwind

That doesnt mean Nairo won't be a best climber since pantani, and I believe that was a point:D

LOL. Very nice picture.

Just to add that Boyaca is the region which basic economy is based on agriculture, but mostly known for its potatoes, just like Idaho in the US. So that is the main reason for the caricature.

Vincenzo Nibali said:
Im so looking forward to their next GT meeting,Nibali has no clue what a real great climber can do.

Quintana against Froome in the Vuelta could be pretty entertaining. Throw in Evans, Horner maybe Uran if he is riding, Hesjedal, Martin amongst others. Contador sounds unlikely. Should be a good battle for the top 5.

Yes, he won 3 GTs by pure luck, riding pro for many years, I'm sure he has really no idea....why don't you go and show him?:D

Who would you say is the best climber of those he beat in those three GTs? Uran? Pinot? Mosquera?

think the original statement was that Nibali has no idea what a great climber can do. This is a weird statement since he has ridden with both Schleck and AC in their prime (not beaten them, but definately knows what they can do)

It's obvious Nairo, Chris, Alberto are great climbers, and I'm sure Vincenzo knows what to expect from them.

Perfectly understood.

As for Netserk question, i have no idea, but Uran and Pinot aren't that bad.

He won those GT's on much much more then luck. He did work hard for those wins and won them deservedly.

I didn't say he wasn't lucky that some opponents didn't crash out. Nibali does seem to have a skill in staying out of trouble in GT's. But winning wasn't entirely due to luck.

Look at the cobblestone stage for example, that was just all out racing.
