Wow, that is impressive!!! But something isn't right... this tt was mostly downhill or had few corners?Cookster15 said:portugal11 said:What was his average speed in tt?
15:45 for 13.4km = 51kph
Impressive for a 58kg rider?

They won't be riding in the sea this year, but the opening stages mustn't be underestimated. Just take a look at the map.Mayomaniac said:I didn't realize that the ITT took place in Albi, that surely brings back some memories...![]()
Really impressed by his ITT and this year there isn't a Tour stage that really screams crosswinds, it could be his time to shine.

He would've maybe achieved the double Giro-Vuelta in 2014 without the crashessir fly said:I don't want to think about crashes. Yet, Quintana hasn't had that kind of mishaps so far, if I'm remembering well. We could say he knows his ways through thick and thin.
You're right when you say he's on another level. And I think he knows it, too.

You're right when you say he's on another level. And I think he knows it, too.at least the podium with Contador and Froomy.

Every rider thread doesn't require knowing who bet, how much etc.
@Flo you really expected him to win today?![]()

I did not.
SeriousSam said:Interestingly, Quintana's probability to win the Tour hasn't changed due to the ITT. Some posters have appointed Quintana outright favourite, or close to it, but that's still Froome according to the wisdom of the crowds.
Froome between 40 and 50%
Quintana between 31% and 36%
Contador between 13% and 18%

Lol exactly my thoughts! I remember that race, the toying with climbs, riders etcEscarabajo said:Nairo looks so much in control. Reminds me of someone in 2009 at the Dauphine.
IndianCyclist said:Froome attacked his main competitor Contador on the first MTF. Quintana on the other hand gets attacked by Carthy and sucks wheels till the end. If you don't test yourself in the buildup, how can you make an attacking strategy in the TDF.
