Don't **** this up, Bahrain.
With Bahrein kit being mostly red they've already done half the job. Just throw a yellow band somewhere :D

Czech rep. RR: Josef Cerny (Elkov)
Slovakia RR: Peter Sagan (Bora)

That's a surprise (Sagan). I guess he didn't want to risk having to ride in a normal jersey when he doesn't become world champion this year.

Sagan wins after a 90 km solo effort (his 2nd solo attempt in the race) with 2:16 on the next rider. Pretty incredible. Then again the quality of riders was low.

2.16 isn't insane when you consider its a 90 km solo tbh. Froome won with 3 minutes!

THE BULL OF INGELMUNSTER, JOHN DEERE yeey great race today, antoher missed chance for sep however but the jersey is for west-flandres.

Yeah a farm-boy is Belgian champion like in them good old days. :D I didn't know he was nicknamed "John Deere" (just heard by Wuyts during the live coverage), obviously his family tractor brand. :)

The gap is not relevant at all. He was alone so Czech riders did not have any motivation to chase. After it was certain that he would win the title it was just nice training ride for Sagan.

Thanks god that slovak championships are merged with czechs. It would be a farce if slovaks compete alone. Sagan breaks alone 180km to the finish then he was reeled back (mostly by czechs which increased pace because they competed each others) and then 90 kms to go he breaks alone again. Czechs didnt chased him because they didnt need to and slovaks couldnt. If there is no merged championships he would win by 10 minutes after 180 km solo effort. I am quite disappointed by slovak male cycling  On the other side. Juraj Sagan raced quite good today and he is better every year. He is really deserved WT domestic right now.

Hopefully Bahrain will come up with a decent National Championship jersey for Izagirre.

We've seen it already:

They could really do something better than that, esp considering one of the team's main colors is one of the Spanish colors.

It’s a small country with one rider who is clearly better than everyone else and he’s on the same team as the other strongest guys. You couldn’t really have a less encouraging set up for Bora’s competition. I don’t think their dominance really reflects that badly on everyone else at all.

Lithuania TT: Gediminas Bagdonas (Ag2R)

Always great to see the man who terrorized the .2 races of Europe for a season and a half what seems like a lifetime ago re-emerge from complete anonymity as a competent but largely invisible World Tour domestique and actually win something.

And now he wins the Lithuanian Road Race too. Gediminas is back and ready to stamp his authority on the World Tour!

Didn't realize Juraj was such a popular name in Slovakia. 5 in the top 14.

Gilbert wasn't happy he got 2nd. I guess it's "*** the wolfpack" when it really matters

Then to think about it, he has been a lot of times 2nd/3rd this time because of a teammate being already ahead
