Reid wisely walked back some of what he said yesterday, stating that in normal situations a WR will look over at the referee (as I stated), but Toney did not, for whatever the reason. He also seemed to state that they need to get better overall.
Good posts on their running game. Not having Pacheco didn't help. And a RB taken in the first round in modern football has to be a very good receiver, and blocker, in addition to a runner who can get through holes and stretch runs from 3 yards into 4, or 6 yards into 10. Bijan Robinson has proven he fits into that mold. Many people thought the Lions reached to get Jahmyr Gibbs, but he's proven to be very valuable in that offense. De'Von Archane has been a steal for Miami (plus playing behind Mostert!). Usually you see someone who appears to be decent, though he may not have a star filled career, like Zach Charbonet, or Tyjae Spears who are contributing to their teams and that's all you get from the draft. All this from what was considered to be a heavy RB draft this last year.
Watching the Dolphin-Titan game, I'm going to now say I think Will Levis can make it in the NFL as a top 10 QB. His accuracy looks better than it did pre-season, and his first start. His arm is incredible, and he's proven an adaptive mobility within the pocket.
I need to make a correction from about 40 posts ago. I stated that Purdy should not have been playing when he got hurt in the Cleveland game (concussion), it was the Minnesota game the following week when he was hurt, not properly evaluated, and later confirmed to have gotten the concussion during the game, then threw two interceptions on the following two drives which cost them the game. There were questions the following week if he was healthy enough to play against the Bengals, but he was apparently given the full okay by doctors to play.
