Rex is going to be the Jets HC, Pete Carroll is Coach Emeritus in Seattle, and Marvin Lewis is 90 years old. If only they had been talking to Belicheck this entire time...

So, based on that, where would you draft him? #3 overall as a CB?

There are a lot of people certain Shedeur will go #1 overall, and Ward #2, and think both should. To me this would be very similar to the year Winston and Mariotta went 1 & 2 overall. Both guys had okay careers, that's about it. Or this should be like 2013 when EJ Manuel went #16 overall, and Geno Smith fell to the Jets at the top of the 2nd around.

If I had the #1 or #2 overall pick, and someone wanted to give up a haul of picks to get Shedeur or Ward, I'd absolutely listen and get ready to make a deal. Then draft one of the other QBs in rounds 2-4 (Ewers, Beck, Allar, Milroe if he declares, maybe even Gabriel), then have that guy sit at least a full season and learn. See if he really has what it takes.
C'mon now, Lewis is only 66. Lol It's Petey that's in his 70s --- isn't he considered the "Jack LaLanne" of NFL coaches?

Hunter will go to a team that doesn't have an immediate need for a QB obviously. That would probably be Jacksonville or NE - two teams that should have a top 3 or 4 pick. Realistically, I think he'll be drafted as a corner & that's where he could make his biggest impact, IMO (maybe he could also return punts/kickoffs & play some WR on situational downs, etc). There's a premium on shutdown corners. The Broncos have two top ones in PS2 & Moss. Moss gets injured & can't play against Cleveland & look at how the secondary went to crap. I say welcome to NFL as a corner Travis.

The QB situation with Sanders & Ward is stranger by the minute. I was watching a college playoff/bowl game preview show on ESPN this morning. They had Cam Ward as a guest. The ESPN guy told Ward that you're projected to go "#2" to the "Raiders" (that would presume the Giants get the #1 OA pick & take Sanders - would this be "okay" with Sanders & his dad? Lol).

Of course Ward said all the right things that it would be honor to play for the Raiders, that he'll work hard to be the best QB for them, and so-on & so forth. I guess ESPN must have a crystal ball or something to determine that the Giants get the #1 OA pick over the Raiders when the season is not even over yet. Lol.

The rest of the QBs you mentioned are not looking too hopeful. Ewers is contemplating playing another year & transferring to Oregon. Same with Milroe. Beck's stock has really dropped with that injury now to his throwing elbow sustained in the SEC championship game. And I don't think Aller nor Gabriel is on anyone's radar as an upper-round pick. And the guy I like the best, Jaxson Dart from Ole Miss, has gone down from a projected 1st rounder to maybe a third rounder. Damn...how did that happen. Lol.

So you think Hunter is such a good CB, he's worth going #3 overall? I think teams will agree, but I wouldn't draft him there. I haven't seen them play that good of competition to call him a future NFL shutdown corner.

Marvin Lewis seems to have the mindset of someone who is 90. Mark Davis has a long history of employing guys who are really old. His advisers are all really, really old, he hires old coaches (Lewis, Coughlin, Norv Turner). He keeps trying to turn time back to when his father was around. Looking backwards. It's unreal. Hopefully Tom Brady can put an end to this nonsense.

Neither the Giants or Raiders are going to win another game. Raiders just lost Maxx Crosby for the rest of the season. So basically 4 of their top 6 defenders are out for the season, missed significant time, or both. They are playing 3rd string guys who weren't even on the team last year, or even at the start of this season.

DAL@CAR - Nice to see the Panthers playing decent.
KC@CLE - Browns have a long history of losing games they should have won, and KC a recent history of winning games they should have lost. I say Chiefs win when Browns turnover the ball, instead of kicking a FG to win with seconds left.
MIA@HOU - Miami must win to stay alive. Texans not as dominant as people expected, but still good.
NYJ@JAX - Jets should get out to a solid lead, then blow the game late and lose in an embarrassing way.
WAS@NO - Jake Haener starting at QB for Saints instead of Spencer Rattler, who simply didn't play very well when given the chance. Haener seemed very focused, very poised in interviews. Plays a more risk-free style than Rattler.
BUF@DET - Game of the week, maybe season. I'll take the Lions late in a high scoring affair.
TB@LAC - This could be a surprisingly good game, if low scoring.
PIT@PHI - To me neither team is as good as their record, but I think the Steelers can stop the Eagles pass game, and Barkley just barely enough for a bit of an upset.
GB@SEA - This should be another really good game I think.

Don't care much about Monday games. Falcons easily beat Raiders. Vikings win over Bears.

RE: Hunter: he is an amazing athlete so with the right tutelage can become a great player in the NFL. My guess is that he will play O (sweeps, reverses...), and return punts and kicks. Winning defensive player of the year for his conference, brought more attention to his D skill, but he won't be able to out athlete the speedsters (Worthy, Cheetah...) or the big guys (DK, Lamb, ), or TEs, or RBs. Honestly, to play D he needs to gain 10 pounds of muscle and get faster. He might do that before the draft, but can definitely do it by summer.

I want him to go to LV with Shed because I really like the Burrow to Chase college connection, and this one would add another layer: JS to CU to LV, plus the same coach at each of those stops. Really this trio can ONLY go to Sin City.

EDIT: He seemed truly thrilled to win the Heisman.

Charles Woodson says full-time corner with some spot duty on offense. He says it's more difficult for teams to land an elite corner than to secure an elite WR:

I mentioned Nate Wiggins taken in the 1st by the Ravens in this year's draft. Their GM said Wiggins was the best shutdown corner in the draft. The scouts are saying Hunter is the best shutdown corner in this upcoming draft. Hunter has identical size, speed & ability as Wiggins, who was put in the rotation day 1 & is now starting for the Ravens.

The first team high enough in the draft that doesn't need a QB will snatch him hands down.

Let me put it this way then. Jalen Ramsey was drafted #5 overall. Pat Surtain drafted at #9. Is Hunter likely to be better than both those guys? After all, we're talking about drafting him in the top 3. The last CB drafted at #3 is Jeff Okudah, who never played at a high level, before being injured, and kicked across a few teams, basically a bust.

Every time Jameis Winston threw a pass the Chiefs should be flagged for 12 men on the field. Winston might as well have been wearing a Chiefs uniform. He throws more passes to their players than his own! DTR must have been inspired by Winston.

Actually, Will Levis is the new Jameis Winston.

Dolphins season just snakebitten.

Turns it Jake Haener didn't have it for the Saints. Respect to Rattler for playing better, clutch at the end, but not quite enough. Daniels still the star, as Washington showed some grit, almost certain at least a WC berth.

Bryce Young is too small to play in the NFL.

Lamar amazing at beating up on weak teams. Still need to see him have a big day against a good team, like in the playoffs.

Jacksonville had no business losing to the Jets. Mac Jones cannot complete passes beyond 15 yards with any consistency.

God must be angry at Harrison Buttkicker, missing that chip shot like he did. Mahomes ankle rolled, but he looked okay walking off the field at the end. I'll be surprised if he misses any time.

Here come the big games, the afternoon window.

Chiefs should give the game all to the Browns quarterbacks, with their defense on fire again and special teams getting that huge fumble recovery on the punt. Chiefs offense looked good on one drive but that’s all they needed. If Bills lose today I’d sit Mahomes a game so he can recover, especially with their short time to rest before the games.

Dolphins season is over and they could finish last in the division. Rodgers is about to snail oil a team into picking him up from these final games.

Bills looking good so far.

Lions tried to make a game of it, but Bills really came to play, after botching last week's loss to the Rams.

I've been critical of Hurts, but his play against the Steelers was impressive. Steelers held Barkley to just 65 yards, but Hurts really stepped up.

Tampa just rolled the Chargers. The game wasn't even close, and Baker looked like a superstar, leaving the Chargers home crowd just stunned.

Extremely painful way to lose for the Colts. Jonathan Taylor has to feel just sick.

What stinks in the long run for the Lions is they busted out more trick plays with the hook and ladder and onside kick directly down the middle.

Depending on how the seeding falls Lions might not be able to overcome all of their injuries on defense unless the offense plays or betters today.

You're probably right he could put on 10 lbs or so if it doesn't compromise his speed & jumping ability. He's run in the high 4.2s at CU & has that NBA caliber vertical jump of 41 inches. Surprisingly, he's incredibly strong for his lean frame (6-1, 185). He's power cleaned 315 lbs here at the CU weight room (my max was only about ~300 back in my peak youth years & yet I weighed 200 lbs on a more compact frame. Lol)

Also, Hunter becomes the 2nd Heisman winner from CU (Rashad Salaam/1994).

Tale of two halves for the Broncos. Colts dominating the Broncos in the 1st half 13-7. Bronco's D comes alive in the 2nd half completely shutting down the Colts holding them scoreless. Broncos hang 24 on them in 2nd half though the offense did not perform very well. Nix throws an unprecedented 3 picks. Less than 200 yds total O & only 72 yds rushing (Nix was the leading rusher with 23!..sad). Payton better fix the running game if they expect more than just a "one & done" in the playoffs.

Poor Colt offensive showing. Taylor makes a bonehead mistake dropping the ball before he actually scores. Lol. AR throws 2 picks & the offense has 5 turnovers. Nick Bonitto gets another pick 6! I don't see what is so great with AR drafted that high. He needs a lot of development to even come close to being a franchise QB (send him to QB rehab). In fact, the whole Colt offense looked like a comedy of errors. The team is a joke trying to masquerade as a playoff contender. Lol. Fire Steichen!

With the win, the ESPN computer says the Broncos have a 90% probability of making the playoffs (we'll see). Big showdown with LAC on TNF followed by Cinn & KC.

And it looks like the Gunslinger dodged a huge bullet. Reid says nothing is broken & the ankle is just "sore." The way his leg was bent backwards on that tackle I thought for sure this doesn't look good. Nonetheless, the Chiefs continue to find a way to win.

SEA's O line is crap!

BUF! PHI!

If a player punches at the ball and hits something other than the ball, they should be flagged. Since when can you just punch someone (repeatedly)?!

There’s a higher chance of an asteroid hitting earth than John Schneider investing in an OL. And Seattle needs to draft a QB. Geno is a solid qb, but he’s 34 and he isn’t a playmaker that will get you to a SB. The team overall is inconsistent. Yes, lots of young players that need experience, but they’re inconsistent and the OL is just sad to see. That’s been a major weakness for years now. Its mind blowing that the front office hasn’t done anything to remedy that.

Sounds like Mahomes has a high ankle which usually means at least one game out.

Solid win by the Eagles. Huge win by the Buccs with a great game by Baker. Not many teams have managed to put up points on the Chargers this season. Rams are now in the box seat to win the NFC West and two of their last three games are against the Jets and Patriots.

:( Too true.

Lions can’t catch any breaks on offense now. Team will live and die by the passing game now. I think Eagles or Packers will go to the Super Bowl now from NFC.

Packers are scoring, maybe not like the Bills and Lions but their defense is better than both teams. I think the Vikings and Packers will give the Eagles some opposition . The only way the Lions can probably get out of the NFC now is to tun up the offense like the Bills. but now they have lost Montgomery who is integral to the offense. Their defense hasn't been great all season and the injuries made it even more so. This looks like the season where the Bills can win the AFC with their offense but their defense still has to do better unless the Chiefs defense can do something exceptional in January and do enough on offense to stop the Bills. Not convinced by the Ravens at the moment. Think the NFC is the more interesting conference re the playoffs.
