The problem here is that they gave place to something worse.

That would actually be a pretty cool kit.

I agree. Also, red on the left sleeve and green on the right sleeve would have been nice instead of double red. It's not too bad as it is though - atleast it looks like some work has gone into designing the jersey, unlike other black/white attempts such as Giant Shimano 2014 and Dimension Data 2015-2017.

This kit is boring. It's a mixture of their Tour 2016 jersey with some old jersey from Giant (the shoulder part). I was expecting something more colourful to mix with the Sunweb logo.

I think the new kit is an improvement to last year, nothing special but not hideous like that of some other teams.

Bleh..last years jersey was really nice (got it myself!), this one's not using the right colours. They did not even use the right Sunweb-logo..They had to add more yellow and red!

Still regarding this kit, how do you want regular sponsors to increase if you offer them this exposure?

Years go by and we still remember Rabobank, Crédit Agricole, Saunier Duval, Phonak, Ag2r, etc. and their visual identity by their past jerseys. I'm pretty sure Sunweb will be forgotten pretty quickly if they continue with this trend.

At least me, if I were the CEO of Sunweb, wouldn't be satisfied if I turned to be a major sponsor of a World Tour and they inserted my company logo on an existing jersey designed for other company.

That is why the Movistar and Sky kits are so good. The sponsor is obvious and the design works to highlight the brand. While fans moan that the Movistar kit is the same every year, it does one thing well, it keeps a consistent brand image that the public remembers.

It's not all black like last year which is good. However it looks like they got a child to draw thin black stripes but unfortunately the child got distracted and they got bigger and bigger.
