Vuelta a España Ninja of La Vuelta

Grossschartner avoided being eliminated from the competition with a very unninjalike performance. Honestly, you would think there was no way he would not finish inside top10 from such break but he managed to do so and also grab a lot of camera time with his attack instead.

To Stage 12

I have added a couple of riders who were unselected, put in the running.

Does top ten in a ITT stage really break ninja status? If the cameraman/producer doesn't pick up on them, then they get a high finish unnoticed.

Edet still 7th on GC. Ultimate, extreme ninja. Too bad he had the leader's jersey.
The fact that Edet is still in contention, in my opinion, is a clear sign that the rules need to be revised. It shouldn't just be about your raw placings. An 11th placing when you went through the trouble of getting in a break is much more against the spirit of the competition than an anonymous 9th or 10th placing from the contenders' group. And a leader's jersey should disqualify you outright.

True, but boy has he lived up to the criteria since losing the jersey!

^^This!!^^
He'll leave the Vuelta unseen with a nice little GC placing. Good on him!!

I'd love to see him test himself with an aggressive attack in these final few stages.

By being at the back of the Red jersey group, CFH is always immediately in front of the camera bike. By trying to be unseen, he is the most visible of all.

But although we don't know how far any group behind is from Quintana/Hagen/Meintjes, he has a real danger of finishing in the top 9 today.

With Hagen and Meintjes out, Edet regains the lead here.
Among the riders selected by posters of this forum, Frankiny has a comfortable lead over Stetina.
