are you confused again ? what the chain of urine/blood sample custody got to do with the corrupt doping doctors ? again can anyone point out what's news in that tirade. s doping doc is a doping doc b/c he is ready to misuse his profession, genius.

I read the bolded part as the chain of custody of the EPO prior to use and not the sample after the fact.

I do not know if Mr. Novizky is a foot soldier but why has he not been asked to investigate the Bof A here in the states for Mortgage irregularities. I am not trying to take the heat off of Mr. Tex it is just that it looks like many here have lost their homes unnescesserily. Highly irregular forclosures, I am sure that it has happened right in San Mateo County California.

Anything to derail a thread. It's the only reason he signs on to post.

If B of A starts messing around with your steaks or medicine cabinet, perhaps he'll oblige. You're losing your touch, son.

Flicker, please, you can't be that stupid . . . because he works for the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), and the FDA has nothing to do with mortgages. Now, put your mellow-yellow band back on, grab some Kleenex (and your favorite picture of LA) and head off to the bathroom for a quick one.

Guys like Flicker are shameless. There's no need for a bathroom -they're just as happy to do the deed in public. Witness their behavior on forums.

Poor old Fred Flick. When the extent of the deception becomes too much to apologise for, when it finally hits home in the cold, clear light of day the fool he's been taken for, Fred will turn with the rage of a convert.

He'll be the St Paul of haters. Anyone wanna give me odds?

Back on topic.

This is actually Novitzky's second trip to Europe. He was also there right after the Tour this year.

Did Mr. Novinzky bring Floyd with him to France ?

He could do an exchange with the French:
Useless Floyd <> some useless opened B samples

pippi for poopoo

History will be kinder to Landis than to Armstrong.

I am sure we won't rub it in too much, if you're still here

No.

I was referring to the "chain of custody" of the controlled substances, not sample collections. This part of the thread has nothing to do with sample collection. An FDA investigator's job is to find weakness in the chain of custody of controlled substances. WADA and the UCI can investigate urine and blood if they like.

"Tirade"? I did not type anything in anger. I make no claims of being a newsbreaker/newsmaker here. I wasn't aware that I owed you anything. My point was that in many situations, these docs are not even considered to be misusing their professions (technically). The generous professional latitude they're given often allows them to work with athletes in this manner, so long as they've charted an appropriate "medical problem" they're trying to solve. For example, a Canadian doc was recently "treating" Tiger Woods for something with Actovegin (I'm not sure if that's legal in Canada). So long as a doctor is using a legal substance, and it can not be proven that they're violating the standard of care, a U.S. doc can probably find a legal reason to "treat" a cyclist with a wide variety of PEDs. What needs to happen, is the medical community needs to be interested in closing these loopholes. Just like a marijuana-friendly doc in California can "suggest" than an MS suffering patient begin using medical marijuana, a "PED-friendly" doc can probably treat a cyclist complaining of severe anemic symptoms with EPO. So long as one can document the right conditions, it's not hard to stay within the "standard of care" and keep your medical license. That needs to change. And we're powerless to change that right now.

Lances' 1999 urine samples in France were contaminated by to much manipulation and to many unknown Lance hating (French) hands.
Check.
Lances' urine samples from his glorious victory at the 2001 Tour de Suisse have been lost in some giant warehouse underneath the crated Ark of the Covenant.
Not even an SR-71 flying with the special Lance urine enhancing detection devices will ever find that "clean" sample.

So what is the big deal about Novitzky visiting the Lyon and Suisse headquarters?

The interesting thing, is that the French generally loved Lance back then. He was the comeback kid. They only turned on him after he threw them under the bus.

People have a very short memory of how he was perceived back then.

My guess is from listening to the haters here (which I actually believe may have substance) if Lance/ Bruyneel have been as criminal as insinuating here, that the said party would have rodents scurrying here and there covering evidence, destroying, tampering with evidence anything to monkey wrench an investigation.

The reason my wife (her Dad was an ex- military officer and police officer and she works in the medical field) and I are skeptical as to what the haters say is with the number of individuals involved why wouldn't one come forward and pop Armstrongs' bubble.

Myself ,I think like a lawyer and I would say LeMond and Landis are not really credible as whistle blowers. Just because they have personal agendas against Armstrong and his business partners.

Everything I've seen so far, indicates that he's working to build a case without them. Their bias would be poison to any case involving their direct testimony on the material facts. That's not to say Lemond and Landis have not fed him a lot of information on who to interview, records to subpoena, etc.

I think it's possible we might see Greg as a witness testifying about his intimidation tactics. We'll see Betsy on the stand and then McIlvain called as a hostile witness.

Frankie and JV will be called to chat about the IM conversation too. At some point, JV will be explaining that chat.

That will be interesting if it happens. I always enjoy hearing about what a devil Lance is, 10 powers to the hundreth power over Dr. Evil only with one ball, just think how scary Lance would be with 2.

I'll go on record and say that I do not relish in his demise at all. I might crack a few jokes about him every now and then, but this is a sad story, not a "juicy" one. I think he's grown up learning how to isolate and alienate people. He counts very few people as true friends, and he's burned a lot of people along his path to the top. I don't view him as the Devil. I view him as being in personal need of hitting bottom. I think he's carrying a lot of baggage. I hope he finally reaches the point at which he's willing to get off of this crazy ride he's been taking everyone on.

Epic post. I guess that would go for quite a few celebreties and athletes.

Thank you for not being a hater.

An excellent book that I read 2 weeks ago:

Ask TexPat that question. Ask Frankie that question. People that do come forward (as individuals) can expect an emotionally (and fiscally) crushing experience. Lance intimidates the hell out of his foes with attorneys and has a reputation of holding one hell of a grudge against people he feels have crossed him.

Ask Greg that question. It cost him his bike brand.

One thing to consider is why this man has such a unique (and growing) collection of enemies and "former" friends. Have you considered why he has so many haters?

The only one on that list I trust is Tex-Pat. In cycling there is only so much money and it is so hard someone will be squeezed out.

If Armstrong plays strong-arm I would say buyer beware, you knew what you were buying into.

People can cry because they feel slighted by Armstrong but he has shown that about himself from day one.

I read Darryl Webster here say that LeMond was such a nice guy and a gentleman. That has not been what I have seen, sometimes yes sometimes no.

If Armstrong is the douce that he is depicted by most here, why not shun him banish him.

In closing I see a lot of man-love for Armstrong here on the forum, even with Mr. LeMond, the two hate one another but it is only a nano- meter from true man-love for Armstrong, more magnificient than win 6....
