Is Vingegaard a sadist? According to PCS he attacked up the first climb of the day and now there is a group of 10 including several favourites who is 20s ahead of the peloton. Way to make the race hard from the start.

I don't view comments in a positive/negative spectrum. I write my opionons and I understand that some may view it as negative towards him because Bernal is a likeable guy.
You saw Bernal do a great ride and immediately went to how he should limit himself to stage hunting and won't ever achieve a big GC result. That's obviously a very negative outlook.

Was going to let the Kern Pharma guy have his day but heard on the radio that Mick van Dijke stubbed his toe this morning so asked his team to attack.

Call me crazy, but it seems to me Vingegaard is starting his season riding stage races differently this year.

It's no longer en "inexperienced" captain needing heavy support and riding a controlled/controlling race, but rather a Pogacar-style captain doing it by himself, even long range.

It is a style of riding which will help him start to contest hilly 1-day races, in a not too distant future :)

He rode every stage race last year this way as well, except for Paris-Nice where he wasn't that good. He just never gets credit for it.

He rode like this last year as well and no, Pogacar, Van der Poel etc. will still murder him if he decides to focus more on one day races
