So it has. One person reminds Coolhand's of his "ultimate fanboy" status and a thread from 2004 is history.
Class act there.
Nope, no screenshot, sorry.

Not sure they would. Journalism these days likes a simple narrative. Before it was all "Miracle deeds of cancer-beating Super Lance". If he can cobble together a confession that spins his disgrace into a "Super Lance is only human" story, the bulk of the press might happily run with that.Alpe d'Huez said:I'll believe he confesses when I see it. He's already finished. A confession won't do him much good. If people are thinking he will do it because it will allow him some sort of normalcy, or be able to give interviews without being hounded, I don't see it. Any interviewer worth their weight in salt would tear into him about the endless stream of lying, the intimidation of others, the bribes, surviving cancer and doping anyway, etc, etc.

perhaps i do not understand the legal side as well as i should but i don't understand how a confession will get him out of fast coming law suits based on him fraudulently receiving millions from his accusers.
sca and sunday times paid him real millions they want to be paid back.
how on earth armstrong's admission will pay the money back ?
sure he can arrange for settlements without the loud and humiliating law suits. but he does not have to confess for that, just offer a generous settlement and be done with (if accepted).
what am i missing ?

So, I still think he´ll do it....

I dunno, he's painted into a corner; I don't think he can go anywhere, or do anything, without confessing first. At least then he can rebuild his image in some fashion. And this is a guy who loves to be in the spotlight more than anything. As much as it would astound me to see him contrite, I think some fake contrition coming up.
As a fan of cycling and skeptic of the Armstrong myth though, it's already done in my mind. People know the undeniable truth. And that's mostly what I've wanted for years.
