Lance's response:

"Lance and his representatives worked constructively over these last weeks with federal lawyers to resolve this case fairly, but those talks failed because we disagree about whether the Postal Service was damaged. The Postal's Services own studies show that the Service benefited tremendously from its sponsorship -- benefits totaling more than $100 million."

Would like to know what made Feds join.
i know that everyone has a theory that would answer your question, but imho they all have one common sorce - the one responsible for his latest series of failures:

the boundless, obnoxious arrogance !

as if he still a driver

If you don't do it, I will.

I have < 10 posts so I'll defer to moderators or a more experienced poster on whether its really time. I was just trying to think of something clever for the (...) part of the title.

Had to have been Neal's article :D

Obama doesn't like Clinton so could it have been someone from the Obama camp that pushed the Feds to join?

I wonder was it done to keep Armstrong in check as he could become a bigger problem if he was allowed off.

Quite clever, but this thread isn't unwieldy yet, so maybe we keep it on the back burner for now.

Feds are joining, more shortly

I read an article just THIS MORNING that said they weren't...but recalled that RR (I think it was RR) said it'll be better for Floyd to be left alone to pursue it as he'd have more success.

On the hand, this still makes me happy! :)

(Ohmyword! I had to take out one of my smilies! The message said too many smilies!)

I will admit - I did feel a tinge of sympathy for Armstrong and his predicament.

Then I remembered all the people he screwed over (often needlessly) for his own gains.
And its about time the rest of Armstrongs mob got their comeuppance.

PS Nice work ;)

VeloNews, the jackmag for fanboys everywhere, said it was over yesterday. Turns out, they were wrong.

That's it! The very article I read this morning. Well, they have an updated one.

Luskin says (in their new article): "Look! Haven't you seen the amount of money US Postal made when Weiselstrong owned the block!?! How could anyone focus on the illegality of the dealings...", and in a dropped voice "...including selling the Trek bikes that were intended for the teammates...when they were virtually swimming in money!? It's incredulous!!"

I went through the same thought process as I was reading those articles. I still feel a little bad, but I wonder how bad people like Betsy, and Mike Anderson and Bassons felt over these last 10+ years. There's a (not so) little thing called sowing and reaping and right now Lance is reaping the harvest of all the terrible things he's sown.

Did some USPS money go elsewhere? I never understood why they needed to sell team bikes to fund doping? They were a rich team.

Thank you. We don't really need another LA thread. The guy is a has been who never was, and hardly deserves the attention of even this thread.

Nope, don't feel any sympathy for him at all. We sleep in the beds we make.
