Are we getting to the point where LA is such a non-factor has been that there's only one thread about him, and many of the people coming here say "Lance who?"

After all, the guy never really accomplished anything of substance. What value does he have to cycling?

In all the years, Wonderboy really only deserved one thread...come to think of it, he really didn't deserve any.

Couldn't agree more.

LAs last chance to be relevant in the sport in any way ended yesterday.
If he actually did care he would have agreed to discuss his doping with USADA - instead, he attempted to mitigate his role.

Obviously, he will still be newsworthy - but only as he faces the various court battles ahead. I cannot see anything relevant to cycling that we don't already know - he is just tabloid fodder now.
He doesn't even deserve a thread -any new news can easily be stuck in to a new general news thread, or dump.

Ok, but if/when he is jailed I would like the opportunity for comment / congratulation to the justice system.

Wrong! No athlete in the history of sports has done anywhere near as much in the fight against clean sport. Likewise, all athletes combined in the history of sport cannot hold a candle to lance's efforts & effectiveness in doping awareness.

It is sad the DOJ is going to let this scumbag get away with it. What a great message. Cheat, steal, lie, defraud, perjure, and we'll let you keep the money. That will surely deter future conmen.

That is a good point. Floyd would have to front litigation expenses, or get his lawyers to do so, in a case that would be expensive to litigate. The lawyers are only going to do this if the risk of losing is outweighed by the potential of a big payday. If the feds do not join, that's one indicator that that the possibility of success is less than optimal.

All qui tam decisions to intervene are made in D.C.

The feds have recently asked to extend the sealed period. Their continued interest indicates, to me, that the matter has not been decided.

And it could be an indicator of many other things, but I realize your anonymous intertubes personality fears reprisal of biblical proportions if you suggest such...

Money buys better outcomes. The wealthy receive "justice" and the poor receive injustice. There is nothing new under the sun.

Let the whining about corruption and influence begin!

Jumped the gun there a bit junior. As far as I know, there is no final decision.

But if they don't join, we will mark your post as the beginning of the fanboy jubilee.

He will starting telling us things like, "If the feds do not join, that's one indicator that that the possibility of success is less than optimal." Despite having no evidence to back that up and completely ignoring the realities of what goes into a decision in any organization.

He pulled the same con with the Birotte decision even though the investigators were all keen to prosecute.

I'll be telling you that if the feds do not join that your chances of behaving like a jerk are much greater than optimal.

The irrational onslaught was begun by Lance the moment anyone suggested that the truth may be exposed.

That would be true. But we'll still be seeing "itsnotover" on this forum ten years from now.
