Yes Lance's silent protest against the bike.

Perhaps he'll end the global love affair with the bicycle?

Or maybe he was right all along? It's not about the bike.

"don't ride much"...."only with friends" says it all. He doesn't ride much.

Me too, especially as he doesn't even ride a bike anymore.

Your wisdom is beyond your post count. Keep on rolling.

Didn'y Tyler get 8 years. Or did he get life? Why should Lance get any less than him?
I'm ok with 8 yrs starting 2010.

Didn't ex-Postie Kirk O'Bee get life for a little testosterone and a little EPO?

Maybe you should be pleading his case. Kirk didn't even try and bankrupt USADA.

The WADA rules on life bans are simple enough to understand, and Lance has provide no rationale to reduce it.

And, he never will.

Dave.

Yep, so he has no one to blame but himself for the mess he's found himself in. Yet, he refuses to acknowledge that. Doubt he ever will.

Thanks to Christophe Bassons for agreeing to meet with me last night here in Paris in what was a very engaging conversation.

Would love to see a transcript of that conversation.

Hoffman would be Tygart assuming that is a scene. That's easy casting, easy drama, and relatively easy scene to write.

Successful, big budget movies would not finance a story that breaks working movie formulas. It won't have any basis in reality because Wonderboy is not a sympathetic main character.

Using a TV cop-crime-scene-investigation show as the formula, USADA could be an "internal affairs investigators" against the sympathetic, but sometimes breaks-the-rules police officer.

The Wonderboy movie fits in this structure:
SEQUENCE ONE - Status Quo & Inciting Incident
SEQUENCE TWO - Predicament & Lock In
SEQUENCE THREE - First Obstacle & Raising the Stakes
SEQUENCE FOUR - First Culmination/Midpoint
SEQUENCE FIVE - Subplot & Rising Action
SEQUENCE SIX - Main Culmination/End of Act Two
SEQUENCE SEVEN - New Tension & Twist
SEQUENCE EIGHT - Resolution

Your characters (with some duplicates/nonsense): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_stock_characters

That will be 100,000 euro, please.

I'm thinking "Top Gun" except with bikes.

Considering Hoffman is participating only in the filming on this side of the pond, I agree Travis is his most likely role.

I don't think your cynicism about Hollywood applies to biopics about living persons.

Too much of the truth is out and known in sworn testimony and books like Tyler's for them to do anything other than strive to get it right.

LOL, don't you remember, he was totally telling the truth there.;):D

Also, I find it funny that Wonderboy has to tell the entire world his latest happenings. What's next, his next bathroom trip?

Bassons also said that he believed that the overall classification of the Tour would not have changed without doping. “I believe that you have physical and psychological qualities that are outside the norm,” he told Armstrong, before adding “That you are here today, for me, is more impressive than having won seven Tours.”

Uh oh. Bassons is off the reservation. Cue the clinic slime machine! Where's DQ, with his stories about LA not having the talent to hang on to a cat 4 pack? Where's Bid Dookie? Time to start slagging Bassons for not knowing as much as the clinic experts about talent.

was allegedly pressured by Armstrong to quit the Tour, something Bassons now says did not happen in such clear terms. “I maybe felt it like that, but it’s [also] been reported that Armstrong did me harm and threw me out of cycling, and that’s not the case,” Bassons told Armstrong, according to L’Équipe. “If you felt it like that, I’m sorry,” Armstrong replied

Oh no, Bassons doesn't think LA is the devil! Hey Betsy, stop dreaming of tequila with darlin' and give us some more red meat, medium scorned! Benotti and 86tdf need a refill!

Perhaps LA only wants to meet with people that are not nutjobs.

He doesn't look good either.
He doesnt even look him in the eyes, ''where is tha camera?''.

I think it is nice from Bassons to meet one of his bullies, I do believe apart from one French rider - cant come up with the name, was it Ledanois? - there is a whole peloton that should go on a picture with him. Especially his teammates of then.

So Lance is on the Worldwide Apology Tour now. It is so disengenuos. He may be saying he's sorry with his mouth but his heart is not in it at all. What is Bassons supposed to do? Tell him to F off in front of the media. He is a much bigger man than Lance ever was. That is why Lance wants it all in front of the camera. Phony. Phony. Phony.

Agreed, to refuse to see him plays into Armstrong's favour.

But this charade is failing. Way to little way too late.

Wasn't Armstrong adamant that he NEVER told Bassons to quit, but that was just giving him honest advice because Bassons clearly didn't feel comfortable in the peloton?
If my son one day was wearing the yellow jersey and I saw him talking to Bassons the way I did, I would have a long, long conversation with him. It’s one of the episodes of my life that I regret the most.
As for Bassons saying that doping didn't change the GC, well, assuming he did say that (the quoted bit doesn't actually imply that at all), I simply disagree with him. I think maybe he was trying to be nice to Armstrong.

Ah, the bitter ranting of Armstrong's fanboys. Still funny more than a year after the fall. In fact it seems to get funnier the longer they continue to complain about it. By 2015 it will be absolutely hilarious.

You guys are delusional rabid whack jobs.

There are direct quotes from Bassons, smiling in the camera with LA. All you have is "Bassons was being nice instead of telling him to F off". Same thing with Emma Oreilly being 'duped'.

Hopefully your employers have EAP so you can get help and move on with your pathetic lives.

Your anger/frustration gets in the way of your message. Bassons has already stated before it wasnt just Armstrong who made him quit the Tour. Do keep informed Chris, it saves you some energy...

Chrissie ran out of windmills long ago. He's now left to manufacture his own, then joust away in a corner while the rest of us have moved on with our lives, a la Bassons.
